I've never seen decos that cost vouchers increase in price, but some diamond decos do...wrought iron fence, ditches, dirt pathways.
We can all see you want to know the reasoning behind SC's decision to increase the cost of certain decorations that cost coins, but IMO, the constant asking is getting old. It was a decision SC made when they began the game and it's continued with certain decos as they introduce them. It's their game, it's the way they want to do this, and if we don't like it, we can choose not to purchase those particular decos or discontinue playing this game.
I'm sure there are things in your life that you like to do a certain way, and you have been doing it that way for ages and it works for you. If someone came along and questioned why you do that and kept pushing you about it and hoped, maybe even expected, that you would change the way you do things to the way they thought you should do them, I'm sure it would irritate you that they even broached the subject...I know it would bother me.
Thanks, TrickyTrax, I've had a zen garden for ages, and am really thrilled that it looks so much more zen now.
HS- is all the zen having the desired effect then?
As as for the rising costs - it's the way it's always been, every fence and path has always cost more with each purchase. A sad fact of life we just have to accept and work with. *soooo zen these days* :caticon::caticon::caticon:
Yes, I've been meditating with Grandmaster Wu underneath the Big Red Gate by the waterfall for days now. "Be like water", he tells me..."but first u must learn the rules so u know how to break them properly".
Nirvana will be reached by next Wednesday so must not give in to temptation XD
As to the question of why, those who chimed in seem to be all correct.
Quick game design 101:
In game design, there is a concept called inflation. As players advance in the game, their means of accumulating currency increase. In Hay Day, the prices of the buildings go up because of this. But with decos, we prefer to keep them all relatively affordable, regardless of in which level they unlock. But they still need to be able to remove significant amounts of currency from the economy, which is why they increase in price per unit purchased. So initially they might be a breeze, but as you accumulate them (if you so wish) they become more effective in balancing out the surplus in the economy.
You may read more about Inflation here: http://gamebalanceconcepts.wordpress.com/ (Do a search for "inflation", as there's lots of other things in there). It's also a good resource for learning more about game balance in general, if you're into that. :)

Hey knitgal2,
Do you mean the Ditches, Trails (8 diamonds each, initially) and the Cemetery Fence from Halloween(5 diamonds, initially)? Are those increasing in diamond price for you? No diamond decos (regular or fence) should increase in price. I'm checking in the internal test build and those decos aren't increasing in price for me. Could you please confirm this for me so that I can take it up to our QA? There might be something weird going on.
Cheers,
Cami
