Whats going on with the newspaper?

i also agree with this.. very hard to buy any item from newspaper (market) ... each time i try to buy most of items are all ready sold or message received that someone can buy this item. its so boring for me.this matter can decrease my interest in this game..

The response I received suggests there have been no changes, and this is just a result of the competitive nature of the paper. I'm starting to think that they don't believe in the observational skills of their users to detect changes. I play enough to know when something is different. People have methods and routines that they use to enjoy and succeed (or not :D) at playing this game. It is quite obvious when something disrupts that routine.

But, as you know Hay Day is an interactive game, where millions of players are buying and selling products all the time. Currently, there is less wheat in the newspaper. This means, the rate of valuable items appearing is higher, which is resulting to players being able to find them and buy them, if they desire. That is why, every time you visit another farm, there are less things that can be bought.

We are always looking out for our players and would like to assure you, that this is not a bug, but just the competitive nature of Hay Day's newspaper economy.

This is really annoying. I suppose many players will quit playing if this problem will not be fixed very soon

SC support can never seem to get their stories straight, can they? In one message they admit they have been "tweaking" the paper. In another message there is no reference to this, only an oily statement that everything is as it always has been.

I had the same thought! And it's not only the newspaper. I have a friend that had extra axes and was going to sell me some. He did not advertise and put it in his store as I was watching it. It was sold before I could tap it. Something is definitely not right! :mad:

I've noticed that too. When full-priced wheat and indigo get sold fast, there is something going on. I'm level 93, so I've played for a minute, and I've never seen it so hard to buy stuff. In fact, not only is the stuff sold before you can buy it, a lot of times the seller has already collected the money by the time you can access the ad. Very frustrating for buyers. I guess if you are selling, it is great. I hope this gets fixed soon, because it is currently like half the the game is inaccessible. That in turn makes it half as much fun.:thumbsdown:

Today seems to be better,not back to where it was but I am able to get some items. People seem to be a little more greedy,not buying what they need but EVERYTHING they see,needed or not. As I said each day seems a little better,hang in there,it will work itself out.

Like everyone else, I am lucky to purchase anything from the paper since the recent update. It is frustrating as heck and my days are already stressful with work. I play Hayday to relax. I'm thinking of quitting Hayday. Never seen it this bad before. Something is not right.

Maybe Hayday is just a huge social experiment! (Tinfoil hat on!)

The explanation in these 2 responses from HD (yours and the other one a few posts up) are quite literally, a crock of Bologna. So there are less wheat and chili dog ads so there's room for more valuable items? How does that explain all of the other less desirable items that normally don't get sold right away, are now in fact being sold right away? When I arrive to someone's RSS, if everything hasn't already been sold, they all go gray almost at once the second I arrive? So you're telling me I'm not quick enough? I don't think so. And what about the duplicate ads? Meaning, same farm, same item, same price....it is a duplicate ad and sometimes in the same newspaper and on the same page!

I don't care how many different ways they try and rationalize and explain that it's not a bug, I'm not buying it.
