Brand new clan wars edition idea!!No more clan levels!

I am the leader of the brand new clan EmeraldWarrios!
We are only level two, but we consider ourselves a strong war clan. Of course no good clashers want to join because why would anyone want to join a level two clan when they can join a level seven clan?
The clan level system is rigged so that new clans are much harder to start up. And getting higher level doesn't have much to do with skill. There are many level eight gowipe clans.
My idea for the new war feature is for supercell to completely remove clan levels.
This may sound crazy, just read on...

How about they replace clan levels with clan leagues? There would be ten clan leagues and your clan level will decide what league your clan starts in! Each clan would get a war score and the higher your war score, the higher league you're in!
The clan perks would go up based on what league your clan is in. A clan in the 8th league for example would go up against another clan in the 8th league. This way the hard core war clans will get the competition they are after and the weaker clans wont have to go up against much better ones. When you win a war your score goes up, when you lose a war it goes down.
Each league would have its own top leaderboards (similar to normal league leaderboards) and there would be one main leaderboard ,showing the top 200 clans in the top league, that everyone can see.
The amazing thing is that this will basically create a big clan war tournament and it will create a leaderboard based on how good clans are at war. These are two highly requested features.
One thing that will be necessary is a fix to modding to make this feature enjoyable because otherwise the leaderboards will be almost entirely made up of modding clans. This would also encourage clans to turn to mods in order to get top on the leaderboard. FIX MODDING SUPERCELL!!!
And if the modding problem is gone it will encourage gowipe clans to move to three star strats in order to get better perks.
When your score drops too low you will be demoted to a lower league.

There are two negative things about this feature:

1. Wait times for a match will go up.
Solution: clans can war with other clans that are up to two leagues higher. But when going up against clans with a higher war score when you lose your score wont decrease too badly and when you win your score will increase by quiet a bit! There could also be slightly fewer than ten leagues. I also don't think clans mind waiting a little extra for a perfect match up(skill wise and base wise)

2. One huge problem is that there is nothing stopping one of the top war clans from reaching the top and then stop doing wars.

the low level clans need some interesting perks which would make atleast some players to join.. people who are starting clan with no friends are struggling like hell u know that and u see it everyday in the global

If you want a successful clan you have to work at it, all these clans that are lvl 8+ all started at lvl 1 like everyone else, there are plenty of players out there that will join a low lvl clan you've just got to find them!!!

What this guy said.. Instead of "I need lvl7+ clan" you will see "I need league 7+ clan". Also look at the players that say that! They normally have less than 100 war stars. They don't want to play the game they want to brag to their friends about the high level clan they are in, they are children, you don't want them I promise!

Your solution is not a solution rather you want to take away from what others have accomplished in the past year.

If you are as good as you say you are come join my clan we are 3 wars from lvl6 and about to start 20v20 clan wars. We have a 62-8 war record and could use some strong clan members. Me and my 2 CO leaders have worked hard to build this clan to where it is today and we have good loyal members that want to stay. Just join us dude, BTW I'm a big (for supercell) meany weenie. LOL! Change that word as you see fit.

You know, this is actually a good idea. I have long wanted to start a clan on my own, but was discouraged by the lack of clan perks. I would appreciate this idea being implemented, and I think others would be too.

As for your point about the top clans, I don't think that would be any more of a problem than it is now. The perks at level 10 stay with you even if you don't war, but it isn't a problem for anyone. The reason level 10 clans still war is because of the loot. If top clans didn't want to, that is just fine, but I really don't think they would. The allure is in the loot and perks, not the need to be a high level.

This isn't just for low level clans! I would like you all to realise it. The reason this is different from clan levels is because clan leagues will be based off of how skilled a clan is a war. Clan level is about how many wars a clan has done.
This is both for new clans, high level war clans, and everyone in between.
Two huge advantages of this is the high level war clans will get a good challenge and the fame the deserve and the a will encourage all clans to move away from the gowipe rut. Furthermore if a clan is skilled at war others should be able to tell from the outside. They should be able to see the clan league and know that the clan is fighting at a high level!

With your system, nobody will want to join clans fighting in the lower leagues. It just replaces one problem with a new one.

League = Level there both the exact same thing ur just giving them a league

They are completely different! Clan league measures how good a clan is at war! Clan level measures how many wars a clan has done.

Did you read the post? What he is describing is entirely different than clan levels right now. Read it again, this time more slowly!

It doesn't take that long to get to perk level 5 which is the first clan level most semi decent players look at. In fact if you get 50vs50 wars and at least do OK in the wars and don't mind a bit of red in ya war log you can very quickly push to perk 5 even with loses.

If at level 5 then clean out the noobs go hunting for pushers who only want troops but are high level players and build a war clan once ya get enough players. Been there done that half a dozen times now.

Your "idea" stems from the fact that you believe the clan system "is rigged" because you are a newer low level clan....so you want to change the entire clan system to suit your needs?!!

Sorry, but every clan that leveled up did so with hard work and commitment, which is what you need to put into the game to get your own clan leveled up. Put in the work and you will reap the rewards, don't ask for things to be handed to you.

Couldn't they just add negative statistics? If there is a level 8 clan with a 50-150 war record or a lvl 8 clan with a 120-5 war record who do you want to join?

A lvl 8 clan with a 50-150 record or a lvl 4 clan with a 35-0 record?

Instead of changing the whole dynamic why not just add negative statistics?

I don't think leagues should replace levels, both should be there as level shows experience and league shows skill

I like this idea! Maybe if you don't war for a week or so then you start to lose points?

I came into this thread prepared to bash it. But upon reading it I have to say there is something to it. We have talked about creating a feeder or sister clan but never do simply because no one wants to start at one again. It would be interesting to band clans together for mutual benefit.

I'd leave the implementation details to SC as they generally do things right.

You can see the amount of wins a clan has. It's easy to see that a lvl 8 clan with 50 wins is bad in wars. Just look at the level of the clan and figure out what's a good amount of wins for that level. Having a loose stat would discourage warring.

Back to the op, the reason why it's like this is because now it rewards playing for a longer time and now noob-clans can get perks. What's more frustrating than being stuck in a league. Supercell wants to keep those noobs playing.

Possible solution: clan war score starts dropping after one week without war.
