Balloons
This isn't an idea so much as it is feedback but I have a town hall of 7 and have always really liked balloons. However it's a struggle to utilize them do to their low health and speed.
Before the recent update allowing an extra, much needed, air defense at town hall 6 while tricky it was still viable to train and use them. Now however it's almost always a waste to make them even at level 4 as they just can't survive long enough to be effective in an attack. At higher levels this isn't true but I would like to see either a small health or speed boost to compensate for the recent anti-air update. If only for lower levels so they can be used outside of campaigns and donations.

Spice it up
Try throwing in some stuff other than balloons. A couple Giants and maybe some dinated hog riders. That way you can get rid of one or both of the air defenses before dropping the balloons.

Like Aaron said, balloons were and still are useful through TH7. Use hogs in the cc and bring a few of your own just in case, not a lot maybe 2 or 3 just for backup with your cc hogs. It's at TH8 they become useless and then they are useful again at TH9.
The introduction of clan perks specifically level 5 clan perks made lvl5 balloons useful! Because now TH8s can use them to donate to other players that need max balloons :)
My apologies to anyone who has ever figured out a way to succeed with level 5 balloons against a mid to max TH8 with level6 air defenses.

I still use ballonion for trophy pushing as a th7. 30 balloons 25minions and they can at least 2 star a base easily.

use max cc balloons
i would reccomend you take balloons in you cc and place your lower level balloons behind them. that way the maxed ones absorb the first damages and the lower ones live longer
