Another idea about Heroes in war

Hi guys,

Seems pretty clear to me as the request as been coming so many times with no results, that we will never get our upgrading heroes in war, so might be time to think about other options to allow people to war even if their heroes are upgrading.

As a clan leader, I don't allow my members to war without their heroes, because those heroes are accounted in their war weight, and the weight is important, and they won't be able to attack at their level.

What about allowing people, when they put themselves in green for wars, to select wether they will war with or without their heroes. E.g. someone has their queen upgrading, they put her on red, meaning she is not accounted in the war wieght while searching for an opponent. Of course this means even if the player decides to gem his AQ, she won't be available to war attacks to keep it fair.

This would allow for people to war at their right level, even if they are busy upgrading their heroes imo.

That sounds like a great idea. It would solve the problem. Alas, the reason that we can't war with upgrading heroes is because lot's of people (me included) gem their heroes to avoid missing wars. I doubt supercell will cut out a steady sourch of revenue. I know i wouldn't.

Although your idea is unique, there is already an imbalance on war matchmaking post th11 update, this would just add further complications to this matter, and I'm sure this would become abused in some way.

I do think in high level clans, people would prefer to continue gemming their heroes instead of warring without them, even if they are not accounted in matchmaking, because all of their strategies are heavily relying on their heroes...

To include that many extra variables means extra programming work. Not happening with LazyCell

Question then, if you were to opt out your queen would you still get her defensively then?

It would seem like the weight would be effected by both offense and defense so opting her out would mean you'd lose both aspects. That would radically change war, whether for good or bad I'm not sure.

Surprisingly one of the better ideas I've heard regarding this scenario. Unfortunately, I doubt they'll make any changes.
