Defenses Outside Walls but not 4 Corners

Most bases I've seen with defenses outside are the 4 corners strategy going for the anti 2 star. This base http://imgur.com/gallery/zdvtI is a new one for me. I am also a TH9 and while I know I could 2 star attacking from 9oclock I'm curious what you guys think about 3 starring this.

Go in from 9:00 with a quake gowiwi, jump out of the core, then use backend hogs on the remaining defenses. The key to get three is to jump out

It looks to me like it's a southern teaser turned sideways...like an eastern teaser. I think GoHo or GoWiWi would do quite well.

4 EQ's between AQ and WT and this base is wide open. GOWIWI with 5 golems will crush this base. Go in from 3:00. No need for a jump or hogs for backend as there isn't any. Why waste the spells and DE??

Easy 3 star!

I would do a very similar attack Shattered GoHo like the one in this video

Troops - 2 Golem, 10 Wizard, 30 Hog
Spells - 4 Heal, 2 Poison

Last time we went with a witch heavy gowiwi from 3:00 the troops spread out and it ended up as an 80% one star. We attacked from the backside next which allowed the golems to enter the open part of the base at near full health, allowing the attacker to surgically use hogs and spells as they see fit to ensure the three star. Your method is far more reliant on chance.

Did several of these already, and have a similar in todays war. Can't wait! (already chalked up my 3 star)

If you deploy at 9:00, all your troops are going 'round the outside as there is nothing to agro on inside. (pretty obvious) After that good luck getting them into core. At 3:00, create your funnel and you'll wreck this base. If your troops spread out your not creating a proper funnel. Simple as that.

That's why you create a funnel before deploying at 9:00.. if you go from 3:00 you're relying on luck that they get drawn to the center. If you create a funnel and go from 9:00, they have no where to go but to the center, and you can use backend troops to easily control where they go coming out of the core.

How do you create a funnel at 9:00? Lol.. theres nothing there! (umm.. should be easy then?)

Anyways to each his own buddy. Mine works. Just 3 starred mine!!

I've still seen it fail more than I'd like to on max bases.. you quake in and send a couple troops ahead on that side. Let them clear it out and send the main force behind them.
