Sorry if this has already been stated and I missed as I reviewed the thread, but do I need to be worried about double giant bombs with this, or are the valks beefy enough to survive that?

Bah. GBs or DGB don't scare me that much at all. These are valks, not hogs, so dmg isn't as brutal. And yes, they definitely are beefy enough.
In a large group though, you'll want to heal through these, as well as WTs, which are, in my mind, one of the biggest risks to the attack, especially if they are behind a wall and the valks are trying to break through.
I've got some keys to the attack (at least, in my mind) that I'm reviewing with Tyler. It's his thread though, so I'll let him share if he agrees with my thoughts or not.
I am a complete max th 9, been using this a lot lately. Just some thoughts, sorry if already shared, haven't read the entire thread yet. I thought this would be a good combo for 4 earthquakes, just drop one heal but it is way better with four heals. Earthquake is almost a bad thing since, it seems it splits the valks up more so that's just more to keep an eye on.
I have had a hard time funneling my heroes a bit. I run with 18 valks normally I believe and 6 wiz. It does depend on the base but if I can get a proper funnel with my high lvl heroes, it's practically game over. I have had a few times my aq or bk wonder off and are followed by a group of valks while the other is left alone. I have still gotten 3 stars while this happened but not as often. It's really amazing how much the valks tank for your heroes, it's almost as good as like a superqueen attack, or at least as effective.
Can a maxed TH 8 with level 2 Valk 3 star another maxed TH 8 with 2 golems, 6 wiz, a few wall breakers, 16-17 level 2 valks, and two cc level 2 witches...with 3 heal spells and 2 poisons ?
Well I'm about to spend around 200 Gems on finishing Valks level 4 upgrade instead of waiting a little over a day, then I'm gonna try it in war and I'll report back w a Screenshot of the results, even if its an ebarassing fail lol.
Anyways I am pretty sure 1 Jump 3 Heal 2 Posion is the appropriate spell comp for the base I'm looking at, I might bring a few more back end hogs, its an "empty core small sideways horseshoe base with basically all the point defences near the edge....So a few more hogs will be able to pick off distracted defs for sure.....
The jump is essentially an "X Junction" where they essentially have 3 compartments to choose from and with their AI so weird as Well as people here talking about bad valk splits I think I'm gonna angle the jump appropriately so they don't split 3 way with only 4-5 Valks going separate ways which will be picked off really quick.....
This is first attack. 2 other th9s have had a Lava Hound, but if its DragLoon by off change I think 2x Posions would save that from being an epic fail. EQ isn't really what I want in this base either....
So lets say I'm doing a 2nd atk and know its a Hound, and EQ isn't appropriate for whatever reason. What else would be of benefit except maybe taking 1 Haste for the Valks or back end hogs in very rare spots? Would still think 1 Posion for Lava Pups would be needed in case.

Tried to tell my clan about this and I think they thought i was joking (language barrier) so i really want to 3 this base so they don't think I'm throwing away one of my atks.
Looks like I chose a perfect time to Max my Valks straight from 2 to 4.
Reporting Back with a Smile on my Face after getting 3 stars on their highest th9, which is 2 spots above me :).
The army that I personally used was:(levels max for th9)
5 Hogs (1 to lure cc. 4 on side distracted defs(the 4 Hogs took out 5 Defs that were targeting Valks. GREAT VALUE!!)
1 Archer (pull CC Hound towards edge)
5 Minions (to take down the Hound & Pups)
2 Golem (1 max in CC)
3 WBs
7 Wiz (4 used to Funnel 3 for clean up)
Bk 16 Aq 17
Spells:
1 Jump
3 Heals
2 Poisons (1 max in cc)
Anyways Def wasn't a bad sloppy attack but wasn't a clean attack what so ever.
Tried to Place Heals Appropriately but 1 of my Heals was bordering "inaprop"
Left Standing:
Both Heroes both with ~80% hp still. (Like 7-8 Barbs from BK Ability)
5 Valks
1 Hog
3 Wiz
Killing a Max Hound with 5 Minions takes a good chunk off the clock, and I was taking my time being careful since it was my first attempt As well As compared to other people I would be considered on the slower half of attackers haha.
100% ~20 seconds on the clock I think.
Anyways I am obviously going to try again, tethered data won't let me upload screenshot but will edit and post both of them.
Advice I have: as long as u create a wide funnel that is overly wide just to compensate w Valks weirdo AI, and if u are bringing a Jump have the jump out before you release the Valks.
** from the more traditional 3 star strats like GoHo and GoLaLoon there is a mentality that Heroes walking around the outside aka going shopping lol is one of the worst things that can happen, almost always your king. In those strats shopping king is a huge deal bc he almost always kills the queen who's towards the core, here the Valks deal w the heroes easily.
If your heroes go shopping to make a better funnel for your Valks to guarantee a center path then thsts the best thing to do

Hi there guys,
I'm reading the tread with great interest. I will give it a go, but I have the concern, that my main problem to 3 star a maxed th9 is when I upgrade my AQ. Since the loyalties are the only thing left for upgrading, 4/5 of the wars I'm without 1 or 2 heroes.
So has anyone tried this way of attacking without the impact of the heroes? I will make smo tests, but will be happy to hear from you any ideas!
