I'd feed back that my contact with them, which has been infrequent, has been very inconsistent. Sometimes I got a great answer telling me just what was needed (although not always good news like the excess follower issue that ended in manually removing nearly 20,000 followers then needing an iPad upgrade to top of the line max memory model just to keep playing farm... Which still glitches and crashes but only a once or twice a week, not constantly as before). Other times I had to reread what I wrote just to ensure I hadn't accidentally typed in Hungarian or backwards or something, before deciding that yep, the answer was definitely totally unrelated to the issue and could be read as either monumentally dumb or accidentally funny. So some I give 10/10, others are rating about a 2, for humour value only.Quote:

Even though technically in "ruled out" it only says removal of the tab, it doesn't say anything about modifications like time reduction, opting out, or just being able to vent about what a negative impact it has on many people's play.
Considering there are a lot of veteran forum helpers around here who love to post "asked & answered" with links, again, LH is not something I've ever seen anyone link an official response to. So given that, no, I don't see your point when they're topics there's no evidence SC has ever formally responded to. Instead I think it's a pretty convenient cop out to not address controversial subjects by saying "oh I'm sure we must've said something sometime about it you just have to look REALLY hard." :p It's kinda ridiculous to suggest answering something 1001 times when I'd challenge someone to find even 1 time it's actually been answered.
Also you flat out said you skip "ruled out" questions in the AMA even though I don't know how anyone on the AMA would even know that if they never come to the forums. Actually I just looked at the AMA "rules & guidelines" on reddit and I don't see anything about not asking about "ruled out" topics or a link to said topics, so you probably want to have that amended.
Anyway, my original question was does SC ever revisit "ruled out" topics based on consistent player complaints and judging by the runaround responses I've gotten I'm just going to assume the answer to that is no. And I'll equally assume we'll never find out why since that too could've just been answered several times over now.
I'll just close by saying that for a feature that's as polarizing as LH it deserves attention if only to try to find a compromise. People deliberately NOT helping others just to avoid being on it is not a good thing for anyone. Seems to me like this is something SC should want to address to help make the HD experience more enjoyable for everyone.
The search is actually pretty decent, but you need to know what to look for and how to use it. :) It's on our to-do list to improve the search UX on the forums.Quote:

Advanced search on the forums is interesting in that it can bring up two different versions. Once you can see the additional Additional Options :rolleyes:, you'll need to choose which forum/subforums to search. Along with selecting (there'll be a check mark beside one that's selected) the forum you want, make sure you deselect the Search All Open Forums option (it defaults to selected). Also, several of the forums for different games have the same title, so if you choose the first General forum on the list it'll bring up the Clash of Clans General forum. There's no differentiation between forum level in the list so it's important to know what you're looking at. The order of priority of the forums has Clash of Clans before Hay Day and Boom Beach and Clash Royale after, so if you're looking in the General, Announcements, Bugs and Problems, Ideas and Feature Requests, Off-topic, or Forum Games forums you'll need to choose the second instance of this title appearing. Or look for Hay Day in the list and choose the forum titles that come after this and before Boom Beach. The rest of the search function is just what it says, these are the only bits I found (supremely) aggravating to get to work properly.
Confused yet? :saywhat: That's all I've got, and if anyone else has a way to search the forums that's simpler, I'd love to hear it.
Or, if you're looking for a fairly recent post and you know who wrote it, you can find it through their profile with very little fuss.

OMG, no! A sticky means the forum search will use this process forever :eek:. I would much rather the search function was simplified, it always brought up the same screen, and the forum titles were unique. All (or any) of these changes would make it better.Quote:
