glad to know SC has taken steps to prevent those illegal 3rd party apps, it's not just hay day but the whole supercell games line up. the amount of available unauthorized 3rd party apps have gone up recently and ever more daring to infiltrate SC's customers, you may not prevent every single one of them but at least you guys are taking steps to prevent this from happening on your games :thumbsup:Quote:

Re the BOT situation...
What do you expect players to do/check on each farm & how much time do you expect them to spend checking out a farm before buying from their RSS?
When my friend buys wheat, she will buy loads because she's trying to fill her very large silo. She does this on a daily basis, several times a day. She only buys wheat in vast quantities and would not buy tools like this.
But she can't carry on spending so much time checking out each farm, it's really getting her down. She's a good, straight up, farmer just wanting to buy wheat without risking losing her farm. She needs some guidance as to what you expect of her, beyond 'stay away from obvious BOTS' because most of them are NOT obvious and she's getting very stressed by the situation."

I asked you what you REQUIRE OF PLAYERS; what you expect PLAYERS to do & how much time you think it's reasonable for PLAYERS to have to spend checking out a farm before they can buy from it.
The answers from you should be 'Nothing & none, that's our job. Players can freely buy from any RSS advertising in the DD without fearing being banned'.
However, as it's not, we NEED to know what you require of us to keep our farms safe from being wrongfully banned. BotBan2015 has a lot of players fearful of losing their farms through normal play & the continual lack of assurances of this not happening again through normal game play are not helping.
It's rarely a matter of 'stumbling on a farm acting inhumanely', the BOTS are no longer obvious, there are hundreds (if not thousands) who look like regular players. Unless you wait and watch the farm for a while, you won't know how it's refilling the RSS etc. Is it really necessary for us to sit and wait to see how they do that before buying from a farm advertising in the DD? Because it really shouldn't be.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of BOT farms are infesting the DD and some players are TOO SCARED to simply buy from anyone selling wheat without spending 5 minutes checking the farm out first. This really isn't a workable situation.
I don't want you to tell us what SC are doing to 'fight the bots', I want you to reassure us that buying anything, from anyone, advertising in YOUR DD is not going to result in US being banned (as long as we do not 'follow' that farm). It's not really a big ask. WE are not responsible for BOTS infecting the game, and them infecting the game shouldn't mean players can't just play the game without fear of being banned simply from unknowingly buying from them.

Nick i am sorry but keeping the game bot free is not our job, we don't work for SC and they don't pay us. Why you guys just panic the players?? If something is in DD then we will race buy it that is what DD is supposed to be. If u see 10×Planks in DD, then will u check the farm interior decorations first and then buy it or will u snatch it straight away? This doesn't make sense and on top of that u warn us like u will ban us if we buy stuffs. If u can't keep the bots away that is not our fault. Please leave us to play the game the way it should be played.
It is our job to keep them away, of course! :) The problem is that it is an ongoing battle, and there's no bullet-proof solutions to these things. That applies to all/any games out there.Quote:

-Are you tempted some days to nerf (just a little!) the droping rates to your needs ? Are you close friend with the coding guy that can do it ? Does he like chocolates ? (as it is already notorious you can not be buy by chocolates... )
(I am not sure i will have enough integrity to keep a position at SC in the HayDay team... but what's the point working at the source if you can not drink ! )

The point is that you have said in this thread that you monitor bugs/problems and that none go unnoticed, yet you admitted in January that you had no knowledge of a bug/problem that had existed since November. I find it very hard to conceive of a situation in which a player is unaware of a bug/problem for more than two months. When I consider this player also works for the game, and professes it is his job to read the Bugs Forum, and further states that no bugs get overlooked, I have to analyze what part of this story has holes in it. We don't even have the option to make Swiss cheese.Quote:

So just tell me: Why nerf Town Tools? What purpose did that serve? What good change was there?
