For Devs who still think PBT is ok.

IT"S NOT OK AT ALL!!!!!!

I played and timed it so that I would take a 45 minute break before joining my clan for the beginning of a war. When I came on, I had a Guard that had 10 seconds left, and at the end of that 10 seconds I got booted for personal break.

So let's be perfectly clear on the stupid PBT. I was not in the game. I was not in the game. I was not in the game. Do you get that? Does it even register? It's already a perfectly stupid and asinine idea to begin with. I don't need Mommy Supercell telling me when I can or can't play.

This isn't the first time I've been screwed over by this system either. Quick question. How many paying customers do you have to lose before you realize just how stupid PBT and the TH11 update really were anyway?

I am sure the flame trolls will be ready to jump on how great the TH11 update was for them, and how the PBT never affects them. So What. That doesn't change the fact that very real people who were paying customers have either quit or stop putting their money in this game. It really doesn't matter who thinks everything is great for them. It matter whether or not Supercell is losing customers, and I've seen paying customers leave the game. So yes, they are losing customers.

Don't worry, the next update will have a sister app that works as a calendar. The only way to play successfully is to prioritize your time around the game.

Village guard counts you as being online, and for good reason as you're not available to matchmaking. if you received the VG by weathering a weak attack, it doesn't eat into your PBT (cause weak attacks also grant a 30min PBT extension), but it will stop your progress towards being logged off for 15 minutes.

Such an app would be completely unnecessary. There's already a clock in-game, and if one is consistently bumping into PBT issues, then your problem isn't finding ways to "prioritize your time around the game," it's finding time to put the game down....

I totally agree with this. The x3 thing is just stupid.
Just make the break longer and have it a 1x thing where they have to be off for say 30 minutes or so.

It's great when your about to attack in war then you get booted off. You get attacked and your heros get put to sleep. Then you get to wait for nearly 2 hours. Or be like me and noob out and not realize, attack without them, and fail miserably.

Ps. I keep my heros full time sleeping now no more guarding. :facepalm:

OP, you know full well PBT has nothing to do with SC telling you to take a break and everything to do with adding your village to the attack queues. Blame SC for pooring naming and nomenclature, but blame yourself for hanging out in a League where you won't be attacked.

This can and did happen pre-th11 update. Learn to use your timer, something you never had before. Maybe learn to review your troops before committing too. Nothing in your post is a direct result of the th11 update.

Yes daddy you are correct except for the fact that it happens more often. It also never happened 3 times in a short period. I'm actually fine with the pbt aside from being kicked off 3 times in a row. Being punished for good defenses shouldn't happen.

The same reason most of the anti update threads are started. They believe if they exaggerate the truth, use excessive exclamation points, and include all caps that Supercell will listen and bring back easy/no risk mode.

In my opinion the whole VG thing should be optional. Pop up when you log on or and before you log off about whether you want a VG or not post attacks.

I hate it so much completely unnecessary and useless for a session raider. Give us the option and choice

You should be offline for 30 minutes to reset the PBT. In that 30 minutes you should not open the game at all.
Again i repeat. you should be offline for 30 minutes not 29:30.

And how would you know when you can log back in? You mean you need a second app to see if you have logged off for 30 minutes so you know when you can log back in or risk logging back in at 29 minutes and 30 seconds and risk another 30 minutes of pbt dance ...

Yep i don't like VG. I want the next guy to attack asap. Now I have to log back in and remove the VG manually, requiring me to be around to launch the app.

There're 2 ways to reset PBT:
1. really offline for a long time (30mins? always work or sometimes need longer time? not sure.)
2. log back on after 3-4 mins, hopefully a bunch of cup droppers have attacked you. so you remove the VG and log off again. repeat it 3 times and PBT will be reset. But sometimes it may take as long as #1 approach.

Just offline and dont back for 30 mins and it will be reset.
Many thing could happen in that 30 mins but they dont affect your PBT.

Actually VG will help you. without VG in that 30 mins people could attack you over and over no shield. But with VG in that 30 mins only 2 people could attack you at most.

Honestly, how many people does PBT even effect out of the entire Clash community? I bet not even 1%.

But I will agree that being kicked offline 3 different times because of not losing a battle during PBT is ridiculous. I've only gotten the PBT a couple times while trophy pushing, and that crud is unbelievably annoying having to be kicked off for 6 minutes 3 different times within an hour whenever no one raids you or 30%'s you. I have no idea what Supercell is thinking if they're deciding to keep that feature.

But all of that has been whined about on these threads thousands and thousands of times already. Just let it die, Supercell isn't going to acknowledge your cries. Or even hear them period lol.

This is actually not quite right either. If you are attacked in that offline period it doesn't completely reset, even if you stayed offline for the full time. Is it any wonder people don't understand something with stupid exceptions like this?

PBT will be reset regardless of a attack. I test that many times.

Anyone who understands pbt can easily worm around it. After all coc is mainly a waiting game where you're waiting for troops anyway, its not difficult to make that time when you get off. You can even just get off during that time yourself and reset it whenever you want.

This is a huge pain. Plus your also losing that golem or hound in your CC very frustrating.

And yeah "Hellfires" post was reffering to a direct result caused by the th11 update are you blind? Pre update I have never had the problem of scouting a war base, planning my attack, checking my steps, and then *boop* PBT get off the game get hit, heroes are taking a nap and my CC troops are now missing. I have now been set back an hour and a half from my war attack.
1hr waiting for my heroes to wake up and CC request to be cooked and filled and the half hour it took to wait to get hit.

No I am not blind. Thanks for your concern. Perhaps you should review the posts though, because Hellfire begrudgingly admitted my response was correct and then added the omiitted piece of information.

Anyone that hit 6 hours pre-th11 update faced the same issues as both you and Hellfire describe. They aren't new, but at least you now have a tool to assist you, unlike pre-th11 update.

The thing that is different is not 6hrs vs 4hrs or no th snipe generated shield. It's the PBT timer.

It is much easier to request immediately knowing you have time before PBT hits or placing a message with a donation time to avoid that golem dying in defense. It just takes a bit of foresight and planning.

Knowing the time a troop donation is actually required makes life easier for donators also training war armies anyway.

I don't believe the 45 mins ♥♥♥♥ because I always been able to reset my pbt being off clash for 20 mins. By off meaning completely off whether my village guard was there or not. Everyday or so, I reset my pbt before I boost an hour and never ran into this problem op has.

Please define what you mean? Even if I got attacked whether a trophy dropper or not within my 20 mins offline, I still get my 4 hours reset so I'm not sure what you mean.

I can be offline for a solid hour, and if I get notified of an attack and log in to see how i went, i willbe on a VG. Will start raiding thinking all should be well, and get kicked off for PB within 15 minutes or so

Pretty sure these are revised especially the 30 minutes consecutive since I time my 20 minutes off, but I do understand what you meant by checking your attack now. After the update, I just turned off COC notifications because being attacked during the first week of the update was even few seconds. It got annoying so I guess this helps in a way. I don't look at the attacks at all and keep my 20 minutes offline without interference.

Thank you. i test it now and i can confirm after 20 minutes offline it is reset to 4 hours.
try to test 15 mins.

I tried exactly 15 and it didn't work. I assume there is some sort of lag involved. I would try 16 minutes first. :)

Those times have been adjusted, yes, but the principle remains the same. Have you tested straight after a defense when you've been offline for a while? I agree it resets where you don't defend during the offline time. However, I can be offline completely for 45 mins to an hour, log in in response to a notification that im under attack, and no reset on PBT if i defend successfully. Will boot me off until I lose a defense or the mercy rule kicks in.

glad to see it worked out for you. maybe another night when i don't plan to plan out my boosting session but clash royale does keep my time away from coc at times. :)

Well I said it in a previous post, even if I was attacked(given most were failed attacks), I'll still get my reset. However, I never swipe my phone to a notification that I'm under attack given that I told you I turned off COC notifications after the Dec update. It could be a glitch from that because there are some times I have 5:30 of play time without guard or shield. That's 1:30 more that I don't know where it came from. Could be that I'm just lucky but I don't use up the time anyways.

15 minutes "Offline" will reset your PBT

How do people not know this yet?!?

15 minutes "offline" will reset your PBT. BUT, there is a 5 minute disconnection buffer to prevent an accidental disconnect from immediately dumping you into the matchmaking queue (which would be awful if you were in a high league), so in practice it's 20 minutes.
