Is it feasible to rush to TH10 from near max th9?

Hey there!

I usually frown upon rushing to any extent, and have always maxed out my defenses and offenses before bumping up my TH to the next level.

However, I, and one other member of my clan are generally the highest members in war, and because of our war weight due to our upgrades we're starting to face more and more clans with rushed (as in really rushed) TH10's with inferno towers. This isn't a big problem as we can generally 2 star them fairly easily, and they tend to suck at attacking, nevertheless it's a pain to face infernos.

I'm 9 walls away from upgrading all my walls to lvl 9, and have only the heaviest weighted defenses left to do. Clearly my hero's need work as well, but I'm wondering one thing.

Once I get my Hero's to about lvl 25 each, and finish maxing out my defenses, is it alright to rush to TH10 even though probably 50-70% of my walls won't be lvl 10 yet?

I don't really care much about getting to TH10 as I do about having somewhat of a fair fight against the TH10's we're facing. Would mildly rushing to th10 be beneficial in anyway, or would I just end up regretting it?

How is that rushing?!?!?! Th 9 with 25 2t heros and almost maxed walls is really good!!! I had 25 25 heros and 50 level q0 walls when i went th 10 and it worked out really well

It sounds fine to me however you are talking about many months down the road without gems. 1 week per hero level so if you had them both going constantly it would take you approximately 13 to 14 weeks to complete.

As you are right now, you would regret it big time!

You'll be fine with walls left to do. Heroes to 25 is still a long, long way off if done organically.

If if you are committed to staying in the same clan and don't expect to recruit folks above you, you might consider going to TH10 much sooner, just via 9.5 route. Heroes are important but also add to your war weight, so your problems will get much worse before they get better.

Definitely get your splash upgraded though...

Yes, I'm doing them once I finish these 9 walls. they should all be done in a few weeks.

I pretty much have given up on finishing lavas at th9. I think I have about 130 to go. My AQ is building for level 26 now and my king will be finished maxing tomorrow. So I suppose I could no-life it and finish the lavas within the next 4.5 weeks. But boosting is no longer fun to me. My lab has been empty for months now so it's getting harder to halt progress.

My plan with one of my th9s is to rush to th11 and go super 9.5.

Th11 offense, th9 def & max Tesla/ad

You will be ready to go. I went with lvl 20+15 heroes, max defences and lvl 9 walls and I faced no problems except for the expected elixir scarcity because of the sudden need for tens of millions of elixir.

Don't keep the lab idle - beyond that, you can do whatever you want.

2 points...

1. I have a TH11 with aq 25 and bk 23 and I am doing more than fine... my th10 had heroes 10/10 when i became th10 in my main account... now they are 35/40
2. if you going up to fair fight the TH10 you will get TH11 opponents... food for thought..

I did a drunken jump to TH10 with 13/13 Heroes....Horrible idea. Took ages to catch up. 20/20 is perfectly fine but I'm sure you know the longer you can hold back the easier the transition will be while you are in the initial stage where defending is tough.

Maxers should never rush same as rushers should never max...just follow the nature of things, that's how the game is intended.

I wouldn't worry about walls at all. An inferno is far more intimidating than any level of wall.

I'd suggest you jump straight to TH11. TH10 is the worst notbalanced TH to be right now. You will be never or very, very rarely able to 3* any equal in wars. TH11 is another story.... Ive been only three weeks at TH10 but its already pain so i pressed TH11 updated. 34/36 royals here

Indeed, but is it worth keeping the lab idle for months? I was at TH10 for nearly 8 months and I still have a few months of TH10 remaining! IMO not worth it unless you can gem the time or you are in one of the top wsr clans.

Plus, lvl 10 walls put a TH10 with TH9 defences above a max defence TH10 with lvl 8/9 walls in war. It isn't a straightforward choice anymore, I guess.

Do you know what Arunt in truth people should just do whatever they want don't you think?. Your average player doesn't care about war weight or rushing etc and why should they.?
If more people moved up because of the cool infernos or the pretty new wizard towers then this place would certainly be a whole lot happier.

Yep. I moved up to TH10 with just 20+15 heroes, and I do not regret it at all.

Moved up to TH11 with max AQ but lvl 30 BK, and though it has been tough, I will do as I please ;)

How about we just drop nearly maxed from any description and call it like it is, a TH9 with a good bit of upgrade time on defences and hero's to do.

Rush if you want, Max if you want, but if your claiming nearly maxed as justification for upgrading, then you know you're only looking for people to push you into pushing the button.

Heroes 20+ each should be fine enough to make the leap. I went up with king 25 and queen 23, because my lab finished. Didn't regret it for a single moment. The extra attacking power is awesome.

I maxed everything at 9, and have zero trouble with even maxed 10s. Infernos change your strategy, but they just ain't all that with beefy heroes. Max your valks first as well...they'll help core that base faster than any troop you'll pick up at th10. I wouldn't do it without 30/30 heroes, but to each his own...good luck!

it would be better to rush to TH11. That warden helps a ton with farming. Just make a short pit stop at TH10 to get max level goblins and while your CC, spell factory and camps are upgrading start the TH upgrade:thumbsup:

thats what i did, best decision i ever made in clash. Was a TH10 for about 1.5 months.

By the time you got yourself to 25/25 on heroes you probably would have maxed everything else bar a couple of walls level 10 walls

Just get heroes to thirty, period. Farming at th11 compared to what some of my clan mates are finding at 10 is a night and day difference. Just wait the weeks and you will be happy you didn

I would definitely stay until your heroes are at least 25/25. I went at 25/30, and I wish I just stayed and went all the way. The transition is no joke, the first few weeks wont be fun - and those weeks turn to months if you don't get 'near max' th9

I went to th 10 with 20/20 heros 1/2 Lego and 1/2 skull.

Max lab and max defenses - 1 lvl 1 x bow.


Best possible thing I could have done from a war and progress standpoint. I never regretted it once.

My war weight was lower than a max 9 yet I could 3 star max 9's all the time.

Now I'm 25/25 (one hero down upgrading every 8 days so I can war once a week) near max offense upgraded all of my point defenses while others in my clan are still grinding walls and heros.

All this while only weighing slightly over a max th 9.

Create a new account and rush it right. Much more fun.

If you're serious about 25/25 heroes by all means make the jump. IMO that is not rushed at all.

However I'm a TH9 with 100+ lavas and I almost exclusively farm for DE and my heroes are not yet 25/25. I think you might be underestimating the ease of getting heroes this high. Your lab will be idle for months and you will be doing nothing but having a hero down and upgrading a 3mil wall here and there.

In a couple weeks I'm going to do just that. My BK is 25 and my AQ is going to 21. As soon as I start the upgrade to AQ 24, I will immediately save for TH10 upgrade which should give me enough time to get the AQ to 25 right about the time TH10 comes on line.

I plan on going a 9.5 route but we'll see, I hear it is difficult to save loot at TH10 without those sexy inferno towers.

I know a couple of friends who went to 10 with 25/25 heroes since the update and neither has regretted it one bit. One had full Lava walls, the other had about 150 Lava wall. Both were maxed on traps, defenses and lab.

honestly, heroes don't matter much.

In fact, if you rush earlier with lower heroes it benefits you. That way you can use DE and elixir to upgrade all 3 at once.

So many things wrong with these 2 sentences lol This is 100% wrong as heros help a lot with farming and war. If your in a farming only clan then great but if your a th11 with low heros farming TH10 bases....well hats off to you sir.

for farming you don't need heroes...

for war you will get those heroes up faster by rushing. You don't waste time putting elixir into walls when it could go in the warden.

I was TH9 in december, skipped TH10 and am now a TH11 with a level6 warden and the war weight of a TH9 max. Its great and enables warring with both the king and queen down for upgrades. Very efficient way to max those heroes without sitting out on wars.

Personally

I think 20/20 heroes is enough to go to next TH - you stand a better chance of protecting DE loot better (obviously the trade off is the capping) when you have infernos - I know it wouldn't stop hardcore attackers but the vast majority freemium players will just skip your base if the two towers are between the DE storage.

I have a secondary TH9 account and it is being pecked very hard for the Dark stuff, so much so I can't really maintain it effectively, so I am focussing on the TH10 one for now and my TH7 account.

My th10 account was rushed to a degree; bypassed walls and heroes. I am playing catchup right now. All defenses maxed, but I have walls and heroes to do. All troops and spells are done except gobs, lightning, eq, and haste.

I wish I didn't rush just to get the nice lvl4 dragons lol. I don't think I would rush again, evident by me maxing out a th9 completely before going to th10. I won't go to th11 without maxing out my th10.

IMO, when you get all your defense upgrades to max, proceed to TH10. Dont mind walls or hero levels too much.

Even fully maxed th9 with excellent base design gets cored easily with GiBArch nowdays while TH10s are practically immune to them with the right design and some upgrades...

You might be vulnerable to GoXXX, LavaXXX army comps and gets to feel how powerful the new hero is but you will lose less as a TH10 than a TH9

The huge increase in max army camp space and extra drill helps...

No mattered how maxed you are before the TH upgrade, you will feel a tinge or more of regret after doing it. Its always harder for new THs since you will go from the top of your previous TH to the lower of your new TH lvl. Maxing before the upgrade is only to ease this transitional pain..

Some maxers even thought if it had been better if they stayed permanently and not upgrade at all...

so true and kind of ironic too... All those ppl keep telling ppl to adapt and lot of them can't even adapt the transition of th upgrading and afraid of rushing :)
