The general consensus on the forums is that TH9's are generally at the mercy of TH10's. What league are you in - perhaps a drop down might be helpful. Have you perused the Base Compilation sticks on Base Design 101? Where do you land with respect to the level of TH9 defense capacity (new-mid-late TH9)?Quote:

thanks, i was more interested in war match ups, i'm not worried about league, i've dropped to silver just for loot and it's hard work staying there when you defend against barch or gobs/giants lol i just seem to be getting slaughtered in war by rushed th10s with max troops. i'm just looking for a war base that may cost them 2 attacks or hold them to 2 stars is all. i tried "The Crow" as seen on this forum and it seemed to work against everyone who didn't know how to attack it. now that is seems everyone knows how to attack it i'm looking for something else and i'm not all that good at base design myself.Quote:

both of them would get pounded. Any decent war clan that knows how to GoHo will destroy them, both of them, not to mention they are internet bases and placements easily found with google search.
noted. again i'm just looking for ideas, i'm terrible at base design. most of the clans we war against are not "elite" nor do i consider my clan "elite" i typically get hit by gowiX variants. the overlying issue is that i have to defend against some max TH10 troops and i just wanna make it as difficult as possible, that is all.Quote:

The concept of base design is to mitigate attacks against the larger general populace of players - what you have mentioned about the ability to "pound" these bases with GoHo could be said for a vast majority of TH9 bases out there. And yes, once bases are published they have a shelf life and shorter time horizon - and yes if you do the proper research many can be found on the internet.
Frankly, where I play in Crystal 1/Masters 1 I do not thankfully see a lot of GoHo attacks - and that is the key. Don't take a farm base to the higher leagues; and understand the type of attacks you will face, then select a base around that.
Sorry my friend but these type of comments, which seem to pop up all over the forums when bases are discussed (e.g. "I could ---- with ---- troops), are not particularly instructive and are truly unproductive. What you may/may not be able to do to this base does not necessarily hold true for the larger population of players. Top clan replays demonstrate that the truly skilled can destroy most bases - we are lucky that those that fall into this category of player represent a small portion of the whole - otherwise this game would be played by the skilled only.
