May it can be sent as a notification in the inbox - " Clan A is now Clan B". If a clan matters to you and you have bookmarked it , it will not hurt if a inbox message is sent to your Inbox.

I don't think a previous name should be added as it may be something the clan is trying to run away from !!!

I agree, They have it for personal accounts, why not have the same thing for clans. Lots of people have Farming names, or TH snipers as their clan name. They should have the opportunity to change their clan name once a year.

My clan is level 8 and the clan name sucks

at level-8 i cant dump the clan ! But really need to change name.

A 1 time opportunity will be great !

I dont care if any few old members or opponents cant find my clan. They left or were kicked anyway !

But, will supercell make it? :D

That would be nice like if the original leader left or something and you didn't like the name. However, the original name should still be visible.

Can't start a new clan just to change name coz it will start from lvl 1.

Clan name change is already a thing. Many clans have asked supercell to change their clan name and they did it. An example, after Savage Soonish left the Savage family, they changed their name to Dark Legacy

Yeah but there is no formal way to do it without contacting support
