...if they have already joined another neighborhood? For example, if I request to join a neighborhood, then I join another neighborhood, a few minutes later the first neighborhood presses reject. Why not press accept and let the request go away? Do people enjoy making others have a list of neighborhoods that they have been rejected from?
Maybe pressing accept doesn't make the request go away? Either that or the people check if you're in a hood, see that you are, so they reject because they don't think accept would do anything.Quote:

The first farm you asked to join, can't tell that you joined another hood. The request to join is not removed from chat.
No one likes rejecting, but if a farm doesn't look like it'll fit into the hood, players who ask to join will be rejected. This is especially true (at least in our hood) if the request comes right before the start of a derby. If the farm asking to join has a combination of idle machines, starving animals, dozens of dead trees, a low town level, and is largely unexpanded, we're going to reject.
Right before the start of the current derby, we accepted a player whose farm met some of those criteria. And, it was a mistake. Leaders spent most of the evening trying to get the player to agree to derby rules (spelled out in our recruitment ad & in the town description) without luck. So, we ended up evicting them three hours before the derby started.
It would have been better for all if we'd simply rejected their request to join.
Maybe Supercell could come up with better terms than reject & evict? Those words are harsh. But, telling someone you don't think their farm would fit into your hood works to the benefit of the hood as well as the player asking to join.

If I guess correctly, the reject notification would go to the message tab (where player receives invite to join) and would stay for approximative 2 months.
