Make Clan War GREAT Again!
I'd like to start off by apologizing for the title. That was uncalled for... xD
A few awesome additions to touch up Clan War. Some of these may sound familiar but I tried to come up with a list that people of all town hall levels could benefit from, as well as fair play competitive clans. (I am particularly proud of Idea #8)
1.) A War Specific Resource
Edit ("White Gold" has been changed to "Platinum")
- "Platinum" (Dark Elixir Counterpart): Can be spent on cosmetic upgrades:
- Example: Instead of your Pekka wearing its usual black/blue armor, they wear white/gold armor instead.
- Platinum is earned by your war performance, no matter who wins. You will earn 1,000 platinum for each star you gain in war. Most heroic attack and most heroic defense (on both teams) both receive an additional 1,000 "platinum".
- Items for purchase in the shop average at 30,000 PL
- Edit: The cosmetic change will unlock a permanently. You will be able to toggle between original troop skin, and your unlocked troop skins. (These unlocks will be visible to all watchers or a raid/replay)
2.) "War Weight" is a stat shown on a player's profile.
War weight range is from 1-1100
- This will make it easier to identify how fair a matchup is, easier to see who is pulling their weight, as well as make it easier to arrange wars for fair play clans.
3.) "New" clan members cannot see traps in war unless they are in that war or promoted to elder.
- Edit (I know this can be prevented by closing your clan during war, but this makes it extremely difficult to recruit for your average clan)
4.) MVP Clan Rank (Skill Indicator)
Who are the most valuable war players? I offer a non-exclusive way to determine such a title!
This "MVP" rank would be a calculated rank based on
- Average stars per war (25%)
- Average war weight of opponents attacked in war (25%)
- Average War attacks Used (25%)
- Average "defended" attacks (25%)
This rank calculates data from your previous 2-4 wars into account when assigning an "MVP" rank. This makes it possible to lose the MVP rank due to poor recent performance.
Hierarchy
Leader MVP/Leader
Co-leader MVP
Co-leader
Elder MVP
Elder
Member MVP
Member
MVP rank is for bragging rights only. The MVP rankdoes transfer over to other clans, but if you are too inactive from war you will lose it. (I can see it now... " looking for max th9 MVP only")
5.) Clan War Description Message
Same idea as clan description, but war description can only be viewed on your war screen. This can be used for specific war instructions without mail spam.
- I saw this idea somewhere and thought I should include it.
Note: There has been some confusion. This is just a "billboard" for war. This is NOT an automated assignment system. The purpose it to be able to leave behind specific instructions without exposing your plans in your clan description. If you don't like being told what to do in war, find a new clan. Most clans already have war assignments. Nobody is being forced to use this feature.
6.) "Clan Ready" War button
Before you read this one, keep in mind that I would change prep day to 24 hours and war day to 23 hours so that clans can still war on a fixed schedule.
I am strongly against the idea of a "forfeit war" button for a list of reasons. However, being able to start a war as soon as you are matched does not change gameplay... at all. Players still have an entire 23 hours to war, which should be more than enough time to get in 2 attacks for any war clan. Only the clan leader can hit the "clan ready" button.
7.) Heroes available for use in war at all times...!
Cmon Supercell... That "coding" excuse is a pretty weak one.
8.) PLAYERS CANNOT ATTACK SIGNIFICANTLY ABOVE THEIR WAR WEIGHT
- How do I explain this in a SuperCell Friendly way.... Attacks that don't make sense won't happen :)
- Message will look like the following: "Woah there Chief! Let's leave this job to our allies!"
Note: There has been the most confusion over this. This is intended to be a countermeasure against a certain type of attack. For example' a town hall 3 drops 1 barbarian and ends a raid on a max th9. That can no longer happen. If the suspicious player wants to be able to drop a single troop and end a raid, they will be forced to bring a tougher base to war in order to "attack" their desired bases. This will in return, attract that clan to tougher opponents. (Yes, I understand that a max th11 with an exposed town hall might not be able to be hit for loot by a max th8, but that same max th8 can still loot a max th9/th10. Remember, it says players cannot attack SIGNIFICANTLY over war weight. They can still attack reasonably over war weight.)
I welcome ALL ideas to be added and ALL feedback.
Edit: Please continue the feedback. Much appreciated ^^
