Th8.5 advice

Hi guys. I was surprised that I haven't seen any threads on the 8.5 tactic so far. I'm a new 8.5 and would like any advice for upgrade order, attack strategy etc. Also, do I build the new walls?

All offense, don't build any defensive structures

You're not looking very hard.

Just do all your elixir builds, cc, new walls and traps before doing any new defenses and don't plant your x-bows until you can 3 star mid Th9s with your attacks most of the time.

I know I do traps but do I do walls too? Doing all elixir stuff atm

Drop any excess gold into walls.

Get xbows when you can beat your own base easily.

Hey I'm a fairly well established 8.5, basically when you go up, first upgrades should be cc, spell factory, labatory, queen, and dark barracks in my opinion. After that id get same barracks straight up again to hounds.
Get all new traps and upgrade them to max. Id consider maxing all teslas too for that extra defence boost. But possibly hold off till hogs maxed.
Troop wise id do hogs first off, then you can goho, giants to help farm, then depends on your preferance. Either push to get lavaloon maxed or if you're a ground attacker then golems would be the obvious choice.
I got walls and worked to max them, helps get rid of gold to make you a less attractive target for raiders.
Personally id hold off on xbows till you've maxed troops.

Thanks a lot. What level do I get my queen to before I do DE troops? (She is going to 3 atm) Also, what level is the minimum for queen walks? Can you show a picture of your base for reference please. Thanks

I'd do DE troops as early as you can provided you can still keep the AQ down. You want her Lvl5 ASAP for the cloak which turns her from a wizard with extra hit points to pretty sexy lady.

The reason I say do DE troops early is most 3 star strats at TH9 require one or more of the Dark troops at max TH9 level for reasonably consistent 3 star attacks and heroes will only get more expensive making it tougher to keep the dark lab going and a hero down at the same time.

I'd recommend taking Hogs to 5 as early as you can because with a CC size 30 you can get a Golem in the CC and take out a lit of early to mid bases with a solid Cold Blooded GoHo attack is your hogs are maxed. And no Th8 stands a chance against any semi competent maxed hogged attack if you are asked to cleanup down below.

As for troops, get your Hounds, Loons, Hogs, Golems, Heal, Jump maxed first. This gives you the two best attacks:

for early-mid TH9's:
GoLaLoon
Pentaloon
GoHo

for mid-late TH9's:
GoLaLoon
Max Attack
GoHo

Grind your heroes as hard as possible the whole time. Its never ending and they cant be overstated enough.

My favorite attack is GoHo, it is super OP at the moment at TH9 - a couple mid TH9's in my clan with 10/10 heroes are clearing max TH9's with 20/20+ heroes on the regular with it (just need good scouts for trap locations).

Ok cool thanks. GoHo was my favourite at th8 too so I should be able to get some 3 stars on max th8s and low th9s right away.
