It doesn't have to be dark they can just change the map theme to make it dark (like clan war) but a bit darker.
I really wish it could happen make it based of out location and can be turned off
Don't forget we also have earthquakes, freezing, lightning, wind from the hair dryers, fire and lava. Maybe add in some fog, tornado, hurricanes, tsunami, sink holes, land slide, floods, more violent volcanic eruptions....
