Stop clan war spies

My suggestion for next update to prevent clan war spies. All new members cannot see war base traps or clan castle troops until the following war i.e. they must be part of the clan when war is declared to be able to view war base traps and view clan castles troops. This will stop people sending spies.

It's a good idea.

It will probably also need the additions/exceptions:

• ... unless you are in the war yourself (on the good side).
• ... unless a (co-)leader gives you clearance.

...you can prevent war spies right now. There's no need to waste development resources working on something this silly and useless.

Thanks for your constructive post. Once you come out of your house without windows, doors and ventilation (why would you have them, it only lures in thiefs), spend exactly that amount of words on helping out clans that always do wars and do want to be open to new members.

This is actually a pretty good idea OP. I'd actually just make it so that ONLY people participating in the war can view the traps/troops of the war bases.

As it is, when one is a war spectator they can't donate to war castles (the "donate" button is grayed out). Just make it so spectators can't see anything (troops or traps) and then clans could remain open and accept new members, grows, etc. while competing in consecutive wars.

I think the best/simplest deterrent would be to lock them out from returning to old clan for 48 hours. Sure, they could kik or text some of the info, but it would become more of a hassle. I must admit though, when we first started out we did it because some of the clans left themselves open to it. Its like a ref says in boxing "protect yourself at all times"

That is what SC should do, new members not allowed to see the war map cc only the other tags, such as war events etc..

This old chestnut again ?

Restricting the war map disadvantages clans that have legitimate reasons for trusted members coming and going. Why should they be disadvantaged because you won't use existing tools ?

Come up with a workable solution to streamline clan entry and re-entry based on trust, and this will solve any problems you have with spies AND make managing clans easier.

If you are a non-stop war clan that constantly recruits, you have bigger issues than spies.

Just close your clan.

Its pretty simple just close your clan and recruit via invite that way you won't get any spies and you'll also be very selective in your recruitment processes because you get to see talk to them in global.

For some reason, you assume that war spying is something that needs to be abolished. I say it is a very fun metagame when you can get 2 or 3 players into an undisciplined enemy clan and then trash talk them as the war comes to an end and they wonder what the heck went wrong.
