I do not wish to cause offence but I must say that I am not a big fan of potato salad, or potatoes in general. Sweet potatoes on the other hand I adore, you wouldn't happen to have any of those spare? ;)

Archers are generally the top preference, followed by gobs. But, beggars can't be choosers... and people give what they have. The bars tend to fill rather quickly, so it doesn't really matter.

I should take a moment and address this trophy donation issue. Some clans tend to take that stat rather seriously; but, since we are farming, many of us do not use clan troops at all, or perhaps only for defense. So, the requests are not as frequent as in some other clans, perhaps. So, I don't get too hung up on this.

Appleseeds, if you are already in our clan, please ping me there and let me connect the dots between your forum name and game name. If you are not a member, we're at 49 members and one is already inbound, so we're full. Separately, for the few folks I booted earlier today, I am sorry that I had to do so. Feel fee to PM me and I am happy to share with you the reasons I had to do so. But, as a general theme, it was due to any or several of the following: (i) perceived being under age (18+), (ii) not saying thank you after receiving donations, coupled with lack of chattiness in clan chat (which not required, is a factor), and (iii) lowest troop donations in clans (again, not required, but I had to make room for some higher level, chatty inbounds).

So I'm cruising lower trophy range trying to make my leader proud by being a productive farmer, and I come across this village.

I will never understand people like this. You are level 54 with a level 9 townhall and all of your walls are still grey which are the max at th level 3. People dont even need wall breakers to get through this. Yea, your town hall level 9 but everyone who looks at your base is laughing at you spending "Mommy's" money to gem the dumb way. /my2sense take it for what its worth.

So today I finally caved in to my curiosity and paid Illustris and crew a visit. I gotta admit, it was a really cool clan. They were friendly (perhaps a little over-friendly with each other ;)) and very talkative. I have to say that I would recommend it to any lvl 40+, age 18+ farmers. (That age minimum is taken seriously for legitimate reasons lol.).

Farming4Gold gets a thumbs up from me :D

Well I can tell you that this clan is indeed mature(ish lol) and very active, but for your level you would be looking to join Farming4Elixir which is just as good. The lower levels I think are for then the join limit was lower or Illustris just took pity on little noobs :D

A little embarrassed about the no of gobs used , he he. Couldn't stick to 25. So it was only 2-3k per gob. I was always trying to get high efficencies, got as much as 10k / gb at one raid :) .

P.S. After two weeks of live existence, I'd like to provide an update:

The membership is about full already. The group is comprised of a chatty bunch of adults from Europe (UK, Spain, Holland), Asia (Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand) and the rest Americans (US together with Canada), so it's 24/7, round the clock.

Donation is quick, as many clan members do not use troops (as we are farming lower troph), but some of the lower level clan members still need arch, etc., to grow. Bragging about last raid (whether epic failure or success) is encouraged and lessons learned are shared.

Enjoy reading this thread and I hope our culture comes through. Regardless of whether you are in this clan or not, enjoy the game, make some friends, and don't whine!

Last, as our membership became full, we started a new sister clan named Farming4Elixir on 29 January, that thread is below:

Hey, friends... I really, really appreciate the heads-up. Shout out to iRoss for first sighting the um, mighty, Emperor.

Unfortunately, I do not believe that this is the same Corugi we have come to love and appreciate. Well, perhaps, shake our heads at and chuckle.

This Corugi, in Culture300, is TH5, level 24, yet has 20 trophies. The original Corugi was a similar level yet he stopped playing weeks/ months ago when his clan imploded, and he went AWOL from these forums. His trophy count would have popped significantly by now to 300-500, without game play, from trophy droppers. If he was playing, even under the radar, he would have leveled up more significantly. Note that this new alt has two builders, yet both are busy upgrading.

I am sadly suspecting that the Cavebears are trying yet another recruiting ploy, by creating a brand new Corugi alt for a feeder. Note, that there are still no members in that feeder clan. It's humorous and best wishes for them.

Separately, Supercell really should prevent multiple-usages of the same name.

Last, I am more than willing to eat my words. If this new Corugi plant wishes to challenge me and assert his old, true emperor identity, I will throw down the gauntlet here. Come here and post, using your old forum account, write a similarly witty response and let's coordinate a time for us to meet in-game and I can link your old forum account to this new level 24.

Why do this? Besides, once again establishing your exalted nature, your prize will be...

We love visitors, but once a permanent member, we do have a strict policy that the door is a one-way. If anyone leaves, there's no re-entry. Strict, but it works for the folks, so long as it's consistently applied.
