Hello guys
Hey, finally got around to making a profile after quite a while of reading forums
I am wandering if there's any budging on the L60+ as I'm currently level 56, If there isn't then will just wait
Anyway I'm a 19 year old lad, I'm welsh. Been playing clash of clans since around February. Town hall 7 nearly maxed. Farm instead of go for trophies. Love banter and I am of course used to the sheep jokes that come from my usernames. Donate regularly (top donater for 3 weeks running, and top this week and often donate dragons when I can.) just looking for a new clan because the one I'm in ( been the only clan I have been in) can be frustrating as only about 6 people ever talk and not many more donate
Anyway that's a long winded way of saying if you have space I wouldn't mind joining
Hi, WelshLad,
Thanks for posting... I usually respond via PM, but since I want to incorporate a few themes, I'll do this publicly.
First, unfortunately, we're already full since Maggie's post the other day, as I cap each clan to 47 members (to allow for visitors, rotations between our 2 clans, and applicants). Further, I haven't raised my publicly-stated minimum level from 60+, but for a few weeks, I've unofficially raised it in practice to a min lvl 75 for new applicants (unless you are a woman).
Hehe, I had to kick out a level 78 chap to accept a level 24 woman. Go figure; that's how wacky I am. Anyways, I'll officially state it here: it's level 75+ minimum now.
Last, since you were so nice to write a post, feel free to pop by and hang out, visit with us, while you find a permanent clan. There's no secrets here or what not... Our clans can help you get to level 60 or whatever you need for your next permanent clan. And, it's always good to meet more people. (but pls be mindful it's a visit only)
Best wishes, regardless,
Illustris the Good Witch
Hello, just an update, I am reopening the doors to our Farming4 family on a very specific basis.
- Farming4Gold is looking to add ONE lvl 75+, adult player who is based in an Asian time zone (Aussie, Kiwi, SE Asia, Japan, China, etc, etc)
- Farming4Elixir is looking to add ONE lvl 75+, adult player who is based in Europe or Middle East (preferably more Eastern Europe)
- Farming4Farming is looking to add THREE lvl 50+, mature (does not need to be 18+) players who are preferable based in western Canada or US (e.g., California) time zone
As evidenced by the above, we track the level and geographic diversity of each clan, to ensure an even 24/7 gaming experience across the three clans. I believe that if you concentrate too much within one time zone, if you log into the game in your off-peak hours, you will have no one to speak to.
As such, Gold is average lvl 71.2 vs. Elixir 70.6 average level. Several members have rotated amongst our clans to even out the geographic mix, but the above three recruiting supplements would ensure a more even geographic mix (generally 50% Americas, including Canada and South America, 35% Europe, and 15% Asia).
Best wishes,
Illustris the Spreadsheet User
Greetings, folks... I'm resuscitating this old thread to write a clarifying policy commentary. Rather than type on what we are seeking, as I find myself kicking so many out these past two weeks, I thought I would write the inverse for a change and perhaps this will better explain why I kick out some people.
Let me be very clear. These types of players are all perfectly fine, and there are many clans that are a better fit for them. But, I am writing this to better screen out these players out of applying to Farming4. Please read this before applying.
1. The High-Level Focused Player
This type is the level 90+, 100+, etc, player, asking why there are level 60s in the clan, when the minimum is 75+, within the first minute of clan membership. Bad cultural fit for us.
2. The L6 Archer-Focused Player
This type is the chap who says I only want to be in a clan with L6 archers. Again, the boot as soon as I hear this commentary. I'd rather take L5 archers from someone I like and want to spend time with, versus biting my lip when an obnoxious fellow donates L6 archers.
3. Lying About Age
Please do not apply if you are under 21. Our interview questions are to gauge age and maturity. Yes, there are immature adults (we kick them out). But, if one is under 21, even though there are many, many mature under 21s, our policy is to not accept them, given the adult humor within the clans. We have the highest female to male ratio I know of, and it is just uncomfortable to talk about certain topics if underage members are present.
4. The Troop Stat Obsessed Player
If you find yourself wanting to stuff a Pekka or Dragon left and right, please do not apply. We do not care about weekly troop stats, particularly as our members rotate between the clans so much, our stats are wiped out . I know who is active and not. And people take vacations with their families, so I take a longer-term perspective. Any criticisms over a zero weekly stat, when I know the player just rotated and had the stat wiped out, is an immediate kick. Further, our restrictive one-way door policy is not a good fit for people who like to wander around clans, stuffing giants, etc. If you are that type, please do not apply.
5. The Base-Obsessed Player
I get so many PMs asking me to search their clan and look at their base and why I should accept them because of their base. And, I don't. We frankly don't care about your base; I care about the human player. How the PM is written and how you conduct yourself matters, not your base... The base will grow inevitably. Edgy personalities, drama queens, etc... they are harder to mold and grow.
I lead the Farming4 family of clans to avoid being a place "where we swap troops". Rather, it's a home to people who like to spend time with each other. Relax after a tough day at work. Share a dirty joke with fellow adults. And, if a troop request shows up, we fill it. If someone asks a strategy question, we answer it. But, that stuff is secondary.
Farming4 is for decent people to relax. The game comes second. People come first.

Isn't Zach under 21?
Haha, maybe... technically, the clan description says 18+ in the game, and yes, there are a very, very few, select mature 18+ but under 21. But, the vast bulk of the two main clans, Farming4Gold and Farming4Elixir, are well over 21.
Farming4Farming does, however, accept under 21 or 18, if mature.
Illustris, Marveling at Pinser's fast read :)
Zach is below 21 lol the mustache only is mature enough.......
(i know its not his but to bump :))
You seem to have the process down pat. I'm not to the specs you require but you might be able to help me out. I'm looking to join a clan of grownups, with similar interests. What's a good method of locating such a group? I put in my alma maters mascot and found a number of clans. One looks promising, so how would I contact one of the clan elders. Please excuse my ignorance, I'm a neophyte.
