From personal experience, I left a townie fully served for 220 days, they were still there waiting when I returned. So I'd assume they don't time out.Quote:

Thanks so much, Jerhunter. That pretty much clinches it: that was a long wait. I just like to leave 30 fully served folk for a derby task and was wondering if it would backfire. I'd be interested in hearing from someone regarding how to stack them, say for 2 derby town tasks.
Use the townhall....
Leave fully finished, go to someone who is waiting or click on a person that has not fully finished in townhall. He will appear and you can then work at for instance the cinema. If a person without package is in front, it is good too. You can click him and work the building :D
But everything starts at the townhall. This way i can serve one towntask in 1 minute :D Next will last longer.
I haven't found out yet how to get the people that are in the middle in the row without loosing a fully finished person. I am mostly leaving 26 out of 42 fully serviced. This will take you about 1 day. This way it is more easy to place people in the right building. And i believe it is possible, having a row of 6 persons waiting in front of cinema, to put 3 people in cinema.
You can't exceed 42 though... that's a pity :D As long as they still have their present they are counting.

I send away all of the townies that arrive on the train. I only fill my shops with visitors I pick up with my personal train. Only service them through the white building. Every week I stack up 42 people ready to collect if I get a townie task.
Stacking can be very confusing until you know how then it is very simple! I will try to describe what I do, using only serve once visitors from personal train is an option but I only do this towards the end of my stacking. If you have all 42 positions in your town hall open this obviously makes it easier to stack 23 finished visitors needed for a 320 town task but can be done with less.
1. I select the Bed and Breakfast and the Cinema as final destination buildings ie serve any visitors to any buildings even requesting 3 but leave these 2 buildings for their last destination, if I pick up from personal train at this point I select B&B and Cinema first. I tend to do this step all the time then they are ready whenever I want to stack.
2. Collect gifts and clear townies from other buildings continue serving still doing above but do not collect gifts from B& B and Cinema other buildings can now be added as final destination
3. To serve new people in those buildings go to the Town Hall tap eg Cinema then go back into town hall to find visitor waiting in Cinema tap, it will take you to that person waiting to be served in cinema, once served you can then serve the others also waiting in the cinema, to clarify you can have many outside waiting as long as cinema is not tapped they will stay and you can serve another 6 visitors
4. I stop serving new visitors on normal train, I send away so that hood mates have new people to pick up on their personal trains
5. All in my town are now in final destination of all my buildings so people are now stacked in front of all buildings and only single visitors off personal train are served through the Town Hall.
PS As I do step 1 all of the time at any point I can stack enough people to do a task in a matter of hours but I have my train fully expanded to 10 Visitors every hour and a half, others in my hood that still need some expanding still do this fairly quickly!
This is fantastic. I've always just serviced townies that I pick up with my personal train, but I didn't know we could stack townies. I'm currently working on doing this and getting ready for the next derby. Thanks so much! Now, if I can only get lucky and grab a town/train task:unsure:
