It's not directly asking that, but essentially yes. I'd much prefer expansion material rates not get dropped for axes/saws, I have too many as it is, even at level 44!

I completely agree with knitgal. My axe supply has been hovering around 100, since I let some pile up during the fall. In an absolute "first", I've even sold some. I may have gotten the initial pile by sending Tom for a few runs. It is totally worth it to hire him for a day to "prime the pump".
I never leave anything brown around the farm unless (as daz notes in one of the options) I'm saving up "third stage" trees and bushes for a 'hoodie doing a Derby help task. The minute I harvest a "chop" tree, I cut it down and immediately replace it with a new one. I think I probably only have 20-30 of each type of tree and bush, but I never run short. I do have a lot of "dandelion puff" nectar bushes masquerading as snow right now. When I chop them down in the spring, if I run short of axes, I'll hire Tom to get my inventory back up to where they will be self-generating.
...and it is true, if SC tweaks the drop rate for one thing, it affects all other tools and expansion materials. As the saying goes, "Be careful what you wish for..."
Good question, it serves no real purpose. To be honest, 100 honeycombs is way more than enough for me. I've always been a shopper and a hoarder. The only time I make things is if a certain product goes below an amount I've set. Example, I keep 25 honey popcorn..if my inventory goes below 25, I'll start making honey popcorn. That way, I'm ensured of having a comfortable supply to serve townies, fill boats, help neighbors and do truck orders. The DD is constantly full of goodies if one looks hard enough...I buy all premiums I see, regardless of need. It's a different playing style from most I'm sure, but hey, it's working for me. :)
I think this is good advice as far as a new player's need to work on making coins, as opposed to levelling up too fast. However, selling items from trees and bushes do exactly that...they sell well and provide good coin return. IMO, I don't really think it was fair to tell the OP they should only use these items in the manner you described, and not to sell them in their RSS. They may enjoy harvesting and selling these items and they have the right to. It may mean they have to devise a better way to keep saws and axes handy, but that's why we've given the advice we have, to hopefully help them achieve this goal while still allowing them to play in this style which they may very much enjoy.
I agree, Besta! The only time I allow anything to remain brown is if I literally don't have anything with which to cut it down (and hopefully I have fixed that!), or my OCD needs to leave it as I harvested something out of order and now it needs to be cut down instead of watered, because I forgot where I was in my "routine". I will cut it down on the next "go round"...LOL!
Are you working your townies? They drop lots of axes and saws. Grab townies from your neighbors so they'll drop after one shop, instead of two or three shops from the Eggspress.
Selling fruit from bushes and trees in the roadside shop does earn a lot of money. I just joined Hay Day 3 weeks ago, and I have 600k coins and all the buildings possible for my level. I'm level 39. The reason this works is although the rate of coins per hour is low, you can have a lot more of them, so if you do get enough saws and axes, then it is a good deal. I have enough saws and axes, so I am rich and have a clear farm. Most people my level have between 5k and 30k. I have 600k.
Also, why do you call experience age? I've never heard anyone call it that before.
