I have over a hundred axes in my barn. I can't use them fast enough. If you can't keep up with the axe and saw drops you have then I suggest you slow down your bee collection.Quote:

If you are able to hire Tom, get him to bring you axes (and saws, too, if you are low on those) and accumulate a decent amount before you begin to start cleaning up. Also, plant and harvest crops as much as possible to get them to drop, especially if you have a some already accumulated. And that goes for collecting animal products and feeding/waking your pets...this will also provide you with dropped items and hopefully some axes will be included.
I used to have to buy some from my NH mate whenever she had extra and I was desperate. I ended up having to hire Tom as my dead nectar bushes were getting out of hand. After I cleaned up, I had a bit left over and since I didn't have to use them again for a while, they just kept dropping. I have been hovering in the 50-75 range for quite a while now and never have to worry about them. :)
It's different for everyone, I have a good amount of Saws and way too many Axes. The little people that visit me always try buy them, I've started to call them Axe murderers. XD
Those that have dead trees etc everywhere either:
a) Simply got way too greedy chasing coins with their trees & bushes without having the Saws & Axes to sustain it. This is a resource management game.
b) Intentionally leave some appearing dead, but at the request for watering stage. Holding it off until a hoodie does a derby help task.
If the Saw & Axe system didn't exist players at every level would be filthy rich and progressing too quickly.

That's great advice Knitgirl. But I can never wait. I see brown stuff on my farm and I have to chop it down, this is why I never have axes or saws. I do notice that the little people start asking for them if I don't have any which is most of the time.Quote:

Slightly off topic, but how many nectar bushes do you need if you were to continuously keep the honey extractor going?
