Border Crew is a lvl 7 clan. We're loyal and dedicated. Based in the US and very active. We have a lot of fun sharing replays, talking strategy, and participating in war. Donations are high level and plentiful. We like to have fun and we like to win. Border Crew is an awesome place and has become something truly special.
Currently there are 36 members (including some mini accounts). Feeder clan is Border Crew II. We war twice per week (mostly 20v20s for now) starting Tuesdays around 9pm EST and Friday around 9pm EST.
WAR: We're a 3 star mentality group. No GOWIPE rut here. If you’ve been waring as a TH8 and up then you know what I mean. Those 2 star attacks that might, every now and then, if you’re lucky 3 star. Bringing the same army no matter the base and hoping for the best.

Here is the formula we use as a 3 star clan.

We have a BAND group using the IOS and Android app. Its like our clans own private facebook page. We group chat, share strategy videos from elite war clans like One Hive, plan wars and schedule events. (BAND is required)

SKITCH: This is a simple app we use for collaborative battle planning. We take screen shots of our opponent’s war bases and draw up our attacks. This combined with BAND for sharing and commenting is quite powerful. As they say “Proper Planning Prevents ♥♥♥♥ Poor Performance”.

War army compositions: Transitioning to a 3 star clan has told us that at least for TH8s and up. There is no one army comp to rule them all. Sometimes your comp may be a complete one off (custom) depending on your opponent’s base. With Border Crew you will see and learn variations of some of these comps. This list is always growing and evolving as 3 star strategies do the same.
TH7: Mass drag (obviously). But here we do it right. Lightning down a predetermined AD, properly funneling the drags to get them to go where you want and selecting the best entry point.
TH7: Dragloon. Bringing max loons in your cc. Learning how to identify bases that are more venerable to loons in the CC. Its all about defensive layers, creating the funnel for your drags, letting the drags create and funnel for your loons and watch the loons B-Line straight to those air defenses while the drags tank.
TH8: Since drags start to fall off as you start to go up against 3 lvl 5 and 6 ADs you will start learning more technical attacks. Early TH8s will still mass drag and dragloon being encouraged to research drags to lvl 3 to get through the early stages of th8 and then rushing hogs to lvl 4 ASAP. Hog based comps are the bread and butter of TH8. This is the place where the game changes for you and skill and knowledge prevail setting you apart from the pack and leaving your enemy crushed.
TH8: Mass drag and Dragloon as listed for TH7s
TH8 and up: GOHO and GOVAH. Front end Golems and wizards with or without Valks to kill the CC and trip/mitigate possible double giant bomb and trap location. Hogs on the back end to wreck your opponent. One of the most versatile hybrid attacks in clash. Popular variations in include cold blooded, shattered and stoned (1, 2, or 3 golems). With or without a high lvl queen walk. All the variations of hog deployment. Surgical, 1,2,3 or 4 finger drops and Asian wall.
TH8 and up: Mass hog with cc kill squad and clean up wiz. On the right base, pull and kill the cc, plan your hog path and let them go to work.
TH8 and up: GOVALO. Perfect for cored air defenses, valks wreck the core leaving the base venerable to back end baloons to finish the job.
TH8 and up: HOLO. CC kill squad + loons with the goal of cleaning up defenses to clear a safe bomb free path for your hogs.
TH8 and up: GOLOWIPE and GOLOWIWI. Bring 6-12 back end loons to turn these 2 star comps into 3 stars (as always this is base dependent). These attacks can be the gateway into a 3 star world.
TH9: Cold blooded and shattered lavaloon (one or 2 golems). Using front end GOWI with the goal of killing the enemy queen, killing the CC and taking down at least one air defense the bringing a lavaloon back end for the 3 star.
TH9 Penta Laloon: Bringing 4 lava hounds and 1 in the cc (very base specific)
These are just samples of some of the 3 star strategies being used by Border Crew members. With the game constantly so is the clan. TH 8s and 9s and 10s will fit right in. Our members are mostly TH8s and 9s and 10s.
Expectations:
1: Take both attacks in war
2: Come with a plan
3: Download and Join the Border Crew BAND group
4: Being willing and ready to progress
5: Request troops if your CC isn't full
6: Donate troops as often as you can
7: Have fun
Recruit Requirements:
General requirements (apply to all TH levels)
1: Must be non rushed including walls, defensive structures, troops and hero's. If you are a new TH8, 9 or 10 then you must be max for the TH below you.
2: Must download BAND and join our group. Once accepted, search for "BAND Group App" in your app store and download it. From here you can use the search tool to find the Border Crew group or ask for an invite code to join our group.
3: Must have or be willing to build an anti dragon base (TH7 and early to mid TH8). High level TH8s and TH9s will need an Anti 3 star war base for opponents that we anticipate will bring 3 star army compositions. High level TH8s, all TH9s and all TH10s will need anti 2 star (symmetrical/traditional layout) to better defend against 2 star strategies such as gowipe or gowiwi. You may be asked to switch between anti 2 star and anti 3 star bases depended on the opponent we're facing.
TH8 Requirements:
1: Must be at least a max TH7 offensively and defensively
2: Must have at least a level 5 Barbarian King
3: Must have lvl 3 dragons unlocked or upgrading in lab
TH9 Requirements
1: Must be at least a max TH8 offensively and defensively
2: Must have at least a level 10 Barbarian King
3: Must be wiling to follow the 8.5 upgrade path (offenses war troops before defensive).
4: If you are a defensively max or near max th9 hero levels are expected to be a combined level of 30.
TH10 Requirements:
1: Must be at least a max TH9 offensively and defensively
2: Must have combined hero levels of at least 40 i.e. 20 AQ and 20BK or 25 AQ and 15 BK ect.
3: Must be wiling to follow the 9.5 upgrade path (offensive war troops before defensive).
