Hi guys. Could you advise is it even possible to 3* this base with my lv3 Dragons? 3 lv6 ADs :/ I could zap quake one of them.. Which? And then funnel and rage dragons and loons.. But from which side? And how to funnel? Please can someone advise thank you so much http://postimg.org/image/bna3rihjx/
It looks a compact base without double GB.. I suggest u use eithe GiHeHo strategy or GoHoWi.. You have sure 3 stars there.. Getting 3 stars with drag looks risky to me.. Good Luck
I have only lv2 hogs.. So I'm affraid that will not do.. Will it?
Dude.. no one runs giheho for a reason, nor does anyone call it gohowi. Strongest hog based attack at th8 by far is mass hogs.Quote:

8. Sent king on clean up if you still have him. (see #3)
But lets face it drags arent the best predictable troops so its not a "sure" 3* but got a shot if those 2 top ADs go down quick enouph,

8. NO! Your king is not a "clean up troop". Your king is a tank. Use him to draw late archer tower fire
Anyway, his method isn't the meta at all. The meta for TH8 dragons: zapquake, haste, rage.
First zapquake the AD by the king, then drop cutting dragons at that 2:00 barracks and the 11:00 elixir storage, then drop the rest of your dragons in between the two on separate buildings so they don't spread out to the sides. You want more dragons on the CC side. When the dragons on the right get within the AD fire, rage them to take out the CC and that AD ASAP. You should have about 3 dragons on the left side and the rest on the right. Drop the loons behind the three on the left, and haste them to reach that AD ASAP. Now the ADs should be down in the blink of an eye an dyou're in the clear. You're going to want to drop your king late on the sweeper, on the left side so he eventually tanks those archer towers.
Zap quake the ad which is to the left of cc i.e south of BK. Then just spawn 2 drags for funneling. You cud even use your bk to help with your funneling or you cud use him to take out the air sweeper..that's your choice. Send remaining drags once you see a decent funnel being created. Send cc lvl 6 loons once both ads get locked onto drags. In case you have a th9 in your clan with haste spell, get it donated cos it really helps the loons. As for the rage, use it at your discretion...preferably at the core where all the drags should be bunched up so maximum drags get the benefit of the rage. Hope it helps :)

Did what u guys advised. Zap quaked lower ad and then funnel and raged and haste the dragons and loons as you said.. After I took down ADs -yay!- and cc (dragon) I had like 3-4 dragons left.. And bottom half of the base to clear.. With all those maxed archer and wizard towers :/ and traps.. I ended up with 71% and 2*.. Which is not bad actually. So thank you guys for all the help !!!! I had 10lv3 drag. Maybe if I took loons instead of 1 dragon.. Maybe that could work better.. Anyway. Thanks all!!
Yeah, that's pretty typical for an zap quake attack into a near max defense TH8. I'm sure someone like neverstopdrooling could have pulled it off, but it just doesn't work for a 3* in many, many attacks against strong TH8s.Quote:

Note that if I was actually going to try a zap quake drag attack at TH8, it seldom would be with the drags tanking into two ADs. You really only want to do that if you have 3 full spells and can correctly support them.
If anything, zap the AD at, say, ~1:00, funnel drags into AD at ~6:00 (storages look outside range of AD) & use rage or heal to support the drags to that single AD down. Then use hasted loons on the AD at ~11:00 and hope they path correctly. Drags are slow and don't have great DPS to troop space ratio. Against ~max TH8s, you need at least like 6 (??) drags remaining after all ADs are down to clear the base.
And let me make this statement---I am becoming more and more a believer in heals over rage at TH8 for drag attacks. They seriously help against air mines and such. Without a heal, those become almost 1-for-1 exchanges & that's very significant when trying to go for the 3*.
Then again, maybe I'm just a sourpuss for drags at TH8. Hogs are where you want to be and it isn't even close. GoHo or, my preference, a full hog run is about as good as it gets. If you are even average with hogs, it's almost hard to miss... And, most importantly, it's fun too. But that doesn't stop the GoWiPers from coming to town like 90%+ of the time. I suppose, however, that's a good thing, as it's almost always a miss, but good grief...
