DE hunting in M3/Cry1 (without AQ)

Ok, so before I begin, full disclosure:

I'm currently trying to get my queen to 30 ASAP with little regard for my gold/elixir gains. I have been focusing on G/E for too long as a TH9 with just walls and heroes left, and my DE progressing needs work. Heroes at 22/23, 117 Lavas.

Now normally, I dont have too many issues gettig DE when I have both heroes, but my success rate tanks when my queen is down for the count. Defensively, I'm using the Arcanum layout for my base, as it does a PHENOMINAL job of protecting my dark storage.


I need a new strat for farming that can get me both 1-2 stars as well as the dark storage. Lately I've been unable to secure a star and would like to consistently earn my star bonus as I go. When my queen is down, it gets even worse, and I'd like to finish off the last 7 weeks of downtime for her...

I usually only have time to get 5-6 raids throughout the day, so super-cheap super fast armies aren't an option, but I would prefer if my army only took the same length as my King regen (1hr 9 mins). Also limit Dark troops as much as possible

My normal setup:
50 arch
50 barb
10 giants
8 wallbreakers
30 gobs
6 wizards

Spells: used only when needed
2 heals
1 rage
1 jump
1 poison

I don't often pull in CC troops for farming raids; but if it isnt something annoying to fill constantly (like drags/golems) im willing to ask my clan for it

If you want stars and DE try looninan - 28 or 32 balloons - the rest minions.

You can bring all rage, 2 light and eq, rage/heal, haste - really whatever combo you like.

Look to clear one side of the base include DE. And look for bases that are sucessptible to air attacks.

I've been getting hit with a lot of 4 EQ GoWiPes and GiWiz attacks that are fairly successful at getting my DE most of the time.

Others have had success with Giants/Goblin and 4 EQ. I haven't tried this one myself.

I hate loonions* (what's a minian?) Without heals. I don't care how fast you kill stuff, air bombs and a couple wizard towers will knock your loons out of the sky. Rages are great when you have hounds as dps, but I greatly prefer 32 loon loonion with 3 heals, a rage, and a poison and haste.
