Calling someone who whines a whiner is no different than calling someone who sings a singer. Yet, calling someone a singer is NOT insulting. So calling anyone any name is not insulting. Calling someone an idiot is subjective. Calling someone a whiner who is whining is NOT calling them a name. Calling someone who is so loyal to a game that they refuse to see the issues a fanboy, is NOT calling them a name.

Yes, people have gotten infractions for the use of the term fanboy. I really think this forum should have a list of the words THEY deem toxic.Because in the real world, the non-pc safe space world, fanboy would not be toxic. Its very vanilla.

The: 'adapt or quit/stop whining' crowd can go jump in a hole. So can those who will just keep screaming their problems without actually looking for a way around them.

It's all just very, very, frustrating.

You may feel that exists for you, that may be what you are experiencing. There is a decent amount of us that are not experiecing that.

If the context of the situation you just mentioned is where the term fanboy was used against you, yes I would consider that toxic. But when someone comes into a post ive made or a thread ive reaponded to, and disregards my conteivution, my honest feedback with a snide "be a real chief" or the like, they are a fanboy by definition. Heck, even SuperCell used that term and set that tone. So Toxic started from the top at this company, and then wondered why their forum turned toxic. Karma.

Sorry, but you are not making sense.
Just because someone is pro-update, does not mean they are a SC fanboy.
Just because someone has changed their game play to work with the update, does not make them a SC fanboy.

So, calling everyone that likes the update, or has changed to where they still can play, a fanboy, is most certainly insulting them. There's no rational reason, to call them that. They can play the game and are happy, so their fanboys... Sheesh, look at the words you are typing. Making it ok to insult those not on the side of the update you are, but oh no, if they tell you to adapt.

Sorry, there's no excuse at all, for name calling. Fanboy may fit such people that says "SC is God!" But not for those that can still play, and are trying to help others see it's still able to progress in the game. The singer analogy is all wrong, because they call themselves that. I've yet to see anyone, call themselves a "fanboy".

Man there are tons of players that can only attack once a day if that. The game used to be accessible to them. They could progress albeit slowly. Now it's a treadmill for them at best.

The update totally fit my play style and I'm making more now than I did before the update hit. But I still hate the new status quo. Why? Because it's not fair to players who invested time and (perhaps) money in a game that the devs fundamentally changed the rules on three years after its release. Not only that but they had the gall to tell us that we were all playing the game wrong for all those years and if we were real Chiefs we would find a way to succeed.

I think the whole situation stinks. I'll keep up with my account because I know a lot of great people, can still progress on my near maxed out th10, and still enjoy smashing other people's piggy banks. But I've definitely lost faith in SC as a company and won't be sending any more of my disposable income their way. And I can totally understand the frustration of people that are finding no niche in the new era of clash.

It was a way, yes, a meta for farming, yes, but not the only way to farm, or play.

I did this all the way through th8.

The day the update hit, my TH had just finished upgrading to TH9. I will admit I have mixed feelings missing out on pushing to masters+ to league farm.

IT was tough having saving up elixir to upgrade my giants. Though thankfully we had the golden day to surpass all golden hours lol

I couldn't wait to have a base that could actually defend itself from other attackers in war. I couldn't wait for TH10 and its the bluelectric walls. I know the walls didn't match the theme as compared to the ones we have now but come on, those babies were sick.

Thanks, that was a respectful response. Something I find from only a very small handful of veterans around here.

My strategy was largely the same. But i had saved resources, and was a near max TH10 when the update hit, to upgrade to 11. I trudged my way to upgrades, but it was painful. Not just for me, but for everyone in the clan post-update. In hopes of keeping the clan together...

I came here, as our leader, to give feedback in hopes of helping solve the issue. Instead I was met with snarky forum veterans, vague and unwritten rules, and disregard. Which only p i s s e d me off MORE. Ive spent lots of time and energy promoting this game to others, helping, to be treated with disregard? Naw, that aint right.

farming also includes protecting loot and we all know losing 1k gold/elixir was the most efficient method of defended your farmed goods. If you didn't have your TH out and you were trying to protect your loot, you were doing it wrong.

TH worth a SHIELD was core functionality.

TH Sniping was something SuperCell Introduced by offering league bonuses.

So SuperCell knowing good and well TH's being on the outside of their bases prior to league bonuses, would be direct support of that option.

Now they change the core functionality of removing TH worth a shield.

Mindless attacks with just 2-3 barbs, to gain a few cups, and whatever bonus your league got you...

Yep.. That's exactly what all strategy games should be all about. Let's tell SC to go back, and then petition all the other clash games too.

And some people, wonder why SC felt the need to remove TH sniping. This right here, shows me why it needed to go.
