[NOT A RANT] What this game needs: league perks

Developers have been trying to push up TH10 and higher to higher leagues for a while now. Let's be honest: it didn't work and under the current conditions it will never work.

Advantages of lower leagues are still legio: no need for "big" armies, much higher GPH and you barely get attacked.
Downsides of lower leagues: hard to reset your PBT (but let's face it, 4 hours straight to play is more than enough for the average clasher), annoying cup droppers, hard to get a shield when you need one.

Adavantages of higher leagues (champs III and up): higher league/ daily star bonus and higher loot offered on average, easier to get a shield (I say easier and not easy - I stayed for 5 hours unattacked last night at 3200 cups offering max loot)
Downsides of higher leagues (champs III and up): you need a big army and both (or at least AQ) heroes up, you often get hit big on defense.

Whatever you do and whichever way you play: raiding for an hour in champs or up will never be as profitable as raiding for an hour in silver for instance. Armies and hero regeneration times take WAAAAAAAY too long to make it interesting.

This is why we need league perks:

The higher you go in cups, the less time it takes to revive heroes and cook a "decent" army.
This is the only thing that might actually encourage people to move up in cups.

League bonus in champs is NOT a bonus, it's basically used to pay for you army and if you are lucky you make a profit in lix/DE. The daily star bonus is nice but it's still peanuts for the average clasher.

Dear Supercell: all of this has been adressed and suggested multiple times? Why can't you see this is needed?
I can only see an increase in gem sales with it :)

Happy customers are paying customers. Unhappy customers are not likely to boost.

Advantage: defending finally isn't a punishment by definition anymore
Main problem: what with cup droppers?

EDIT 2: give a barch at silver the same training time (heroes included) as a gowi in Champs and people will move up

Just a thought to add to your thread:
Maybe we could also have a percentage defence bonus which rises incrementally with your league position and percentage defended.
For example: if the loot bonus is 300k of each plus dark, and the attacker only earns 150k due to the tough defence, the defender is awarded the other 150k. Just stick it in the loot cart.
This would offer higher rewards to higher league players.

This thread makes too much sense.



Therefore it will never be implemented.

I added that now (I mentioned that before the TH11 update too but forgot to add it in this topic)

Main problem with defensive bonus are cup droppers.
They need to find a way to exclude cup droppers from the defensive win bonus then.

Simplest way to deter that would be to award the entire win bonus to the defender.

This idea sounds awesome , would enhance the game further and make people work hard for higher leagues.

Yeah, many has been pushing for league perks since the update drop, but so far it has fallen on deaf ears. If they want higher th in higher leagues, they really need better reasons than league bonus. However, I don't think they will offer faster troop cook time as they will lose a lot of revenue from competitive pushers, who often will boost their bracks or gem their army in a pushing session.

League Bonus.

Attacker win = get the league bonus
Attacker loose = Defender get the league bonus

It's make every attack, a full attack!! ....i mean, every attack gain loot.

I agree johnny but they also offer 2 hour or whatever VG in titans right? they would lose revenue here as well but they decided to make an exception and make it so higher players get better VG they could do the same for this sure it would cost a bit but if they really want to they can

Well, let's be honest .... I'm sure 99% of competitive pushers doesn't need a VG .... we all know they don't log off until PBT kicks in, so SC was never going to be able to make them burn gems by buying VG, thus in reality there is no lost revenue for SC there.

It is a great idea that has been much talked about in the forum...

I'd also suggest that SC is trying to get TH10's to go to 11 so that can have the Super Chicken...

I still think that even if League Perks were implemented, the League bonus still needs to be increase to get people to push up...

Thanks for bringing up this idea which very interesting & worth implementation. We saw this idea been brought up almost everyday but still no one at SC had the ability to catch it & go try to implement. It is always the half-baked ideas that get implemented. Almost no single update or even maintenance break passes without causing several bugs.

If they don't increase league bonus by double at least most farmers will not push. They need to make the profit resulting from 1 hour in low leagues equal or better to 1 hour in high leagues. Currently it is 1/4 or at best 1/3. For farmers to farm at the same rate they need to get same income. Currently it is not the same. Decrease troop build time, defensive wins, increasing league bonus or whatever combination they might do. For most farmers including me it doesn't matter where to farm but what we get

Fixing clouds issue is by making higher leagues the best place to farm in. Then mass of th10s & th11 will push higher & higher aiming for the loot not for cups as always. While pushers can have more targets to hit & farmers can have their loot!!

At the moment I'm practicing 3star attacks in Champs III but let's say I would be farming again.

As a TH11 easiest to get all storages and the full bonus is by hitting loaded TH10's.
For an average TH10 you need let's say the GOWI I tend to use for "farming". Heroes die every raid and I don't attack unless I'm offered the max available storage loot.

That means that when boosted I can do three raids tops.
400/400 * 3 = 1,2mil/1,2mil per hour plus 600k per hour in bonus = 1,8mil of each per hour
Of those most of the gold is net gain and at least 800k lix goes to armies and spells. I'm not even counting the DE because that almost goes entirely back to army. That's a pathetic profit.

Let's say I'm doing gibarch in silver I can easily make at least 2 to 3 mil of each with 10 or 15k DE per hour boosted.

To be honest I seem stupid to stay in Champs lol.

I meant that they should make it so you don't get a defensive bonus for someone dropping cups on you. So they make it you get the full bonus when someone drop x% of his troops at least.

I meant that they should make it so you don't get a defensive bonus for someone dropping cups on you. So they make it you get the full bonus when someone drop x% of his troops at least.

At the moment if someone drops a single troop to drop trophies he loses nothing, therefore he gets to where he wants to be in the leagues at no cost. If we want people to stop trophy dropping there has to be a deterrent.
There has to be a penalty for doing it or it will never stop.
Awarding large defensive bonuses is one way of doing this.

If if you drop to bronze, you are going to get next to nothing as a defensive bonus!
That's the whole point of what I'm saying. It would be in your interest to push to higher leagues and increase your defencive bonus.

I do agree though the defensive bonus must be similar to the win bonus (or maybe even be the same)

Say I'm in Champs, I am the defender:

Player X attacks me with a GOWIPE and get 49% so loses --> I get a loot cart of 200K that goes to either my storages or to the treasury.

Easiest way of doing this is to have the win bonus the same as it is now. Assuming the win bonus is 200k, if the attacker knocks out 70% of the base, he wins it all. But if he doesn't get 70%, the remaining amount is awarded as defence bonus.
if someone does a troop drop on you, you win all of the bonus. If he gets half, you get half, and so on.....
This will encourage people to go to higher leagues, and improve their defences.
The reason town hall 10's and 11's are in gold and silver is that it is easy loot and they never get attacked. There is absolutely no reason for them to go higher, they are happy farming down there.
You're right, no more penalties or punishments. Reward is the key to getting people to go higher, but at present there is insufficient reward.

This was suggested a while back and had so many ppl saying it was a great idea, it's such a pity supercell have not added it to the game or even let us know it's in the works as it really needs to be added.

Troop times do need to be quicker and cheaper, especially in the higher leagues where you do need stronger armies to get stars. The reason why ppl drop Instead of climbing leagues is that in the lower leagues you can get away using cheap and quicker armies. So this new perk system would encourage ppl to climb not drop. This will also sort out the long clouds of that the higher league ppl are experiencing.

Now we all get it, we all want it so why the hell can supercell not see it? The game is a bit of a mess atm and this system would help it go back in a better direction.

And topic is buried in a corner where nobody ever looks.
