This is strange. My TH8.5 did reset. My last attack was 22 hours ago (which earned me the fifth star) and I now have the ability to earn stars again.
Not sure exactly when it reset, but it's definitely less than 24 hours after the last star was earned.
Hope they are working on making this a true daily bonus.
Well for starters, Axion's timer reset too, and his opinion around here carries about 47,000 times more weight than yours does. And there have been a handful of others claiming theirs reset as well in this thread.
My timer reset well before 24 hours. I'm trying to figure out if it's a bug (likely) or not. That is all.
I am not trolling...
Yeah i guess it is because its named Daily star bonus...:smirk:
Well, even a moderator is wondering enough to go and get it more explained.
Looks to me, in here, and other threads, that it's really a tossup, as some are having the timers reset early, and others are not until exactly 24 hours after completion.
But, it is called "daily" which did give some people the idea that it would reset on a daily basis, not on a completeion schedule.
If indeed the timer was not setting correctly and if it were fixed in the latest bug patch, then it's possible that it needs to finish the current cycle before it starts to function correctly.
Due to the nature of cyclic events, "bug remedies" are often implemented at the beginning/end of the cycle not at a mid-point.
First login at the maintenance event, definitely pushed some content to my devices but that doesn't mean it was implemented.
Simple, 24 hr timer starts on first earned star. Don't earn all 5 in the 24 hr (you know, daily) time frame then they reset to zero. Earn all 5 and you wait for the 24 hrs from first star to be up for your true "daily" reset.
It's not perfect, but much improved over what SC came up with. No surprise there though. 5 minutes of thought, and one solid improvement to SC's slap bag update. They need a new PR team ASAP. Proper communication would go a long way towards quelling the flames around update dissapointment. Hell, maybe be transparent about changes sure to be met with dissapointment (de drill boost cost increase). Maybe tell the honest truth when describing coming changes. Is the village guard reduced to nothing or is that a bug you failed to fix on the last maintenance break (best Dev team ever!)?
