NEW ATTACK. Queen POP LaLoon. Finally and Attack for all TH9's to 3 STAR MAX bases

When the big TH11 update took place and players were allowed to donate spells I wanted to think of a new attack that would utilize the spell and make TH9 attacks easy for all players. When I started my TH9 journey hounds were new to the scene and air was supreme, but after many updates air became less effective and guaranteed. I have used, and watched players use shattered LaLoon, Zap/Quake 2 air defenses, and Penta LaLoon attacks, but they are usually base specific. With shattered LaLoon you are required to get to the queen, the cc, and some air defenses and aren't left with a lot of troops on the back end. With penta-LaLoon you are left with 20 or less loons and have 4 air defenses active, and a lot of the time that is just not enough power. With the double Zap/Quake you have zero spells left and cannot always punch through a base.

I wanted a fair mix of what I know works, and a solid strategy that didn't require high heroes to get inside the base, but still left you with and overwhelming amount of loons and spells. That is why I created what I now call the "Queen POP" LaLoon. Now maybe you have seen this before or thought to do it yourself, but with the spell donation available and my clan in war on that day I used my new idea and crushed the first two bases I tried it on.

In war I saw clans were starting to jam their cc's with hounds since a double poison cannot kill a hound so this attack was specifically designed to go against those clans. I decided to test this attack on bases that didn't have a hound. It worked the same if not better. I tested it on common bases, max bases, new bases with a low level TH9 and every time the attack over whelmed the base.

For every attack I brew 2 Lightning, 1 Quake, 2 rages, and 1 haste. Now if I know they have a hound, or other ground attacking only troops, I brew 3 hounds, take 1 MAX hound in the cc, and 26 Loons. If the base C.C. is unknown I drop one loon and take some archers.

Each attack is designed to trap the queen in a kill zone for pups to attack in and loons to land on her and hit her with some splash damage. This picture will illustrate.

Now with a fresh base and C.C. unknown I start the attack by taking out the first air defense. Then I send in loons at the defenses on that same side so they can destroy the defenses and pull out any troops that attack air troops. If troops come out I lure them with the archers I brought and kill them with my heroes. Of course, if no troops pull I simply start my hound and loon attack.

I always make a triangle kill zone to trap the Queen in. I will send my max hound and another hound at the air defense closest to the queen and the other two hounds at the air defense on the short end of the triangle. I send 3 or so loons at each defense structure and try and take down both air defenses together so that my loons and hounds will flow up towards the remaining air defense and clear a path for the exploding pups to stay under rage and kill the Queen. This gives you 2 rages and a haste to use on your loon path.

The best part of this attack is, that besides possibly killing a dragon in the cc your heroes are not needed and can be used solely for clean up. I have tested this attack against a wide verity of base builds and I always surprised at how well it works out. The sheer power of 25-26 loons with 4 hounds and still three spells vs 3 air defenses and a queen is too much for a base to handle.

Here is my first ever "Queen POP" LaLoon run. This attack was rough and unpolished but easily smoked the base. The video gained a lot of attention and made me want to continue to test this attack and share the results.

Next up I came across the popular Diamond Moat base. It had a hound as well so I hit it with the same great results.

Last up I wanted to see how well this attack for brand new TH9's. This account has lvl 1 hounds and I wanted to hit a fresh base with an unknown cc. I take out the air defense then take out a few defenses with loons to see if anything pulls from the cc. Nothing pulled which means I am clear to start the attack. Results where the same.

I hope this can bring some new ideas to the table that are mixed with a few older ideas as well. This attack has absoluty confirmed my thoughts and even surpasses my expectations every war. I have much more replays to show and will continue to upload.

Now to fully understand this attack lets look at one failure. People always want to see the limits of this attack. I have heard it wont work on a high level queen, or a base with max air skeleton traps, or an odd shaped base with xbows up and a cc that doesn't have a hound. The good news is I found a base with all those things combined. This was only a time fail due to the point where I stopped to decide how to kill the cc. Otherwise this would have been an easy three star with everything on the base that my doubters had on the attack. I also bunched the loons and didn't have all hounds pop. It is a great learning video.

We should also take a look at why I created this attack. For every level of th9 to use. This is a low level th9 base but built to be spread out and anti-3 star. The cc also has a drag and the queen is not directly by an air defense. The attack still overwhelms the base to the point where half the hounds don't pop.

Lastly I figured I would finish with a popular base build. Once again this base had a hound in the cc. The air defenses were not maxed yet so I was not able to pop all my hounds but I still overwhelmed the base as normal.

This attack is against a max base. It is also a fresh base so I have to test the C.C. A dragon pops out and I pull it to the side and kill it with my heroes. After that it is business as usual. Keep in mind this is a brand new TH9 which shows any player can 3 star.

He has never run this attack before and does not use air attacks normally in war. He decided to give it a shot since the C.C. had a hound. The attack is not polished but he 3 stars this popular base.

I'm gathering your counting on the pups to do the dirty work in the kill triangle? In war their is the CC to deal with, that's all on the heroes I take it? I thought the pups didn't aggro heroes anymore?

Good questions. When I made the attack, I originally thought if you place a safe area around the queen any pups in the area will take the queen. It does work if you have the loons clear the way and the defenses are focused on loons and hounds. Remember you also get a few extra helpers in killing the queen. When a hound explodes it does damage, so if the queen is under it she gets hurts. Also, loons do splash damage so if she is standing by any defense they are killing she will get injured as well. The third helpful part is that when loons get shot down and land on or near her, they do damage hitting the ground, so once again that will injure the queen. Pups will still target her if they are around her but they don't come from far off to attack her. Once you add all that up the queen is toast. I have quite a few videos on my channel of this attack and will be adding them every day.

As you stated the heroes job is to purely kill the cc and maybe help clean up, or take out an outside defence if you can. Once you test the cc, if it holds any troops that attack the air you simply pull to the side and use your heroes to kill it.

What if you do t know whats in the cc? And it turns out to be a dragon?

That is why you can see that I test each cc on fresh bases. If a drag pulls I take it to the corner and use my heroes. If nothing pulls then I go into the attack as normal.

Just tried this exact same attack (my BK15, AQ16 but upgrading) on a diamond moat base (BK15 AQ12) with a few minor differences. Xbows were set to air+ground, with a hound in the CC.

The two hounds I sent in on the AQ side didn't pop until they went up to the 3rd AD, which was too late. The enemy AQ survived the attack, and I ended up with a 52%. :(

Yes timing is the important part. If you notice how I set the troops I usually wait till the hound on the queen is popping before I throw down the rage around her.

Recently upgraded Zap to 6 so I could "ZapQuake" a level 7 Air Defence since that's pretty much what I go against being that all my defences are maxed.

I haven't tried Double Zap Quake yet as my BK was upgrading but will be in the next war and it seems like a very very good strategy.

I haven't gotten to upgrading my Dragons to l4 yet, so the "Double Zap Quake Dragon LaLo" where 5-6 Dragons are used to take out the "offset Queen" isbt really viable either.


I'm gonna see after what this strategy is all about and post an honest review

Double zapquake, in my experience, is an awful strategy because it leaves you without any spells to clear the entire base and loons are slow as heck. They'll wander into some backside wizard tower or air bomb without a hound there and your attack is done for, I've had FAR more success with max attack and won't touch double noobquake with a ten foot pole. That said, I just may have to give this one a shot.

TH8 doesn't have a queen to deal with, or hounds.. TH8 is just a dragloon (he made a video showing the meta of those last week or so)

I am not sure if I fully understand your exact questions. The queen gets killed by multiple facets of this attack. All these attacks are done in war and the cc is always full. If the cc has a hound I usually go straight for this attack no since it doesn't need lured. On a fresh base I also test the cc with loons to see what pulls. You have 2 rages but also a haste for this attack which makes a complete base wipe quick and mostly painless. This attack was not possible before the update and I have been running it ever since. I decided to write a complete strategy now for it.

Also hogs are the worst thing to lure the cc in this attack. You only want to pull air troops since that is the only thing that will mess with loons and hounds.

Glad to see the interest in the attack. I will keep posting videos for reference. I had basically dropped all attacks with air until the th11 update but with the spell addition I had an idea that this might work. I can honestly say it impresses me every time I use the attack. My new th9 account has little offense so he purely uses this attack and cleans house every war.

Yes, Like tyler stated I have many videos on my channel for TH8. Using hogs and drags will be your top options. I prefer the zap/quake drag attack. You can use a rage and haste in the leftover slots. Feel free to watch the how-to video on my channel.

Ahh okay I get the pulling air troops thing that makes sense.


My question was what makes this different from just a Zap Quake Quattro Lavaloon besides that? The raged pups usually take out the Queen.


It seems a lot like a Penta Lavaloon Style but only 4 Hounds since the CC is dealt with if needed aswell as there are only 3 Air Defences since the first one is Zapquaked.

So obviously with an "Offset Queen" base this wouldn't work right? Since you are using the Raged Lava Pups to kill her?

This could work if you had anywhere from 2-5 Dragons that may or may not need to be raged to take out the offset queen depending on how deep she is.

Just wondering since that seems to be the new standard to have an offset queen on war bases, so this attack wouldn't work with that?

But it was encouraging because i failed due to an opponent too weak, 3 lava didn't pop so i was running out of time to 3 stars my opponent base.
I will try during next war this strategy and hope to succeed.

Getting the hounds to pop can be the thing that makes this attack fail or succeed. You can always drop a loon or 2 for clean-up troops, like minions or goblins on weaker bases but I enjoy just working on timing. Finding the right balance of timing spells and how close to get your loons raged past your hounds is the exciting part for me. If you wait too long on spells and loons then your hounds can get smoked and you can lose all your pups. On the other hand if you rush too fast and level the whole base before your hounds pop then you don't have any pups for clean up either. On some attacks with high defenses you will see me start loons before hounds and quickly deploy spells. On weaker bases you can see I do things slower and sometimes hold off on spells till 2 hounds fully pop.

Like I said that is the fun part for me. I enjoy a little challenge on my attacks but this attack seems to be fairely simple. Hopefully the attack goes better next time for you. I know this attacks has worked amazing for me and now my clan mates are messing with it after watching my success. thanks for the feedback and good luck!

this is absolutely amazing. i will certainly try this one out in war! My only question is, what if you get a high hp cc troop like, say a dragon, that comes out of the cc, youre kinda screwed at that point. If that happens, what do you do?

I went over that in the strategy and I'll upload some videos that show how it goes. When I zap the first air defense I always send some loon at that side to pull any cc troops that will mess with my air troops. If a drags pulls you simply take it to the said and kill it with you heroes. Then go about the attack as normal. That is the only thing I use my heroes for.

I added 3 more videos to the front page again. I hope these continue to show this attacks possibilities.

OK, really noob question here... I used this against someone that had balloons & dragon in the CC, so, the CC troops came out immediately once my balloons and lava hound were in range....why doesn't the lava hound come out of the CC immediately in your vids? They're all air troops.

I hit you with a reply earlier but I guess it never loaded. The reason this happens is that hounds don't attack air troops. Only troops that attack air troops come out of the CC. Drags attack air troops so you have to always test the base like I do in fresh hit bases or bases with unknown CC's. Once you zap the first air defense send loons at defenses by that side that are in the CC circle. That will pull any troop out that will attack your air raid. Take the pulled troops to the side and use your heroes to kill them. Then just go about the attack as normal. If nothing pulls out or you already know that a hound or other ground only attacking troops are in the cc, then just attack as normal. If you watch all my Queen POP videos you can see on every fresh attack or unknown cc I test the base with loons then either kill the pulled cc or attack if nothing comes out. Some clans stack all hounds in their cc or some bases I am hitting as clean up so I know what the cc holds.

Nice videos and nice post but as already hinted before this is not really a new strategy just your slight adjustment. Using a lavaloon attack and hitting nearest AD to the queen so the AQ isnt killing all your loons is old news.

Your not hitting the air defense closest to the queen. You are surrounding the queen. It's quite the opposite effect. Maybe you need to look again at the strategy.

You are correct though. Loons are not a new troop. Hounds are not a new troop. Air attacks are not new. There are actually very few troops in the game. Designing an entire new attack with a troop would require a new troop you be released.

This attack is my adjustment on an air attack, and that adjustment that makes this attack deadly. Just like a surgical lay of hogs is a slight adjustment on mass hogs, and that adjustment makes hogs deadly.

That being said, give it a shot. It might just surprise you.

C n B I like what you've done with the LaLoon attack but to hit max bases bases with it I need Lightning 6 to take out a L7 AD so I haven't tried it out yet. I suppose if a base has at least 1 L6 AD I could zap quake that one but I'm usually asked to attack higher on the food chain in my clan.

Yes this is correct. I made a brand new th9 and only upgraded his light spell, loons, and hounds. I was the lowest th9 and brand new, but attacking max th9s in war and 3 staring with ease for both attacks. Those few upgrades can turn a brand new th9 with low heroes into a 3 star hitter since heroes are not really needed.

Until you upgrade that light spells you won't be able to take the max air defnese out though, so it will limit you in the th9s you can take with this strategy. In the mean time I would practice with what you have on lower th9s, so when you get the max troops you will be comfortable with the troop deployment and spell timing.

Now maybe you have seen this before or thought to do it yourself, but with the spell donation available and my clan in war on that day I used my new idea and crushed the first two bases I tried it on.

In war I saw clans were starting to jam their cc's with hounds since a double poison cannot kill a hound so this attack was specifically designed to go against those clans. I decided to test this attack on bases that didn't have a hound. It worked the same if not better. I tested it on common bases, max bases, new bases with a low level TH9 and every time the attack over whelmed the base.

For every attack I brew 2 Lightning, 1 Quake, 2 rages, and 1 haste. Now if I know they have a hound, or other ground attacking only troops, I brew 3 hounds, take 1 MAX hound in the cc, and 26 Loons. If the base C.C. is unknown I drop one loon and take some archers.

Each attack is designed to trap the queen in a kill zone for pups to attack in and loons to land on her and hit her with some splash damage. This picture will illustrate.

Now with a fresh base and C.C. unknown I start the attack by taking out the first air defense. Then I send in loons at the defenses on that same side so they can destroy the defenses and pull out any troops that attack air troops. If troops come out I lure them with the archers I brought and kill them with my heroes. Of course, if no troops pull I simply start my hound and loon attack.

I always make a triangle kill zone to trap the Queen in. I will send my max hound and another hound at the air defense closest to the queen and the other two hounds at the air defense on the short end of the triangle. I send 3 or so loons at each defense structure and try and take down both air defenses together so that my loons and hounds will flow up towards the remaining air defense and clear a path for the exploding pups to stay under rage and kill the Queen. This gives you 2 rages and a haste to use on your loon path.

The best part of this attack is, that besides possibly killing a dragon in the cc your heroes are not needed and can be used solely for clean up. I have tested this attack against a wide verity of base builds and I always surprised at how well it works out. The sheer power of 25-26 loons with 4 hounds and still three spells vs 3 air defenses and a queen is too much for a base to handle.

Here is my first ever "Queen POP" LaLoon run. This attack was rough and unpolished but easily smoked the base. The video gained a lot of attention and made me want to continue to test this attack and share the results.

Next up I came across the popular Diamond Moat base. It had a hound as well so I hit it with the same great results.

Last up I wanted to see how well this attack for brand new TH9's. This account has lvl 1 hounds and I wanted to hit a fresh base with an unknown cc. I take out the air defense then take out a few defenses with loons to see if anything pulls from the cc. Nothing pulled which means I am clear to start the attack. Results where the same.

Oh I've almost got maxed TH9 troops (just lightning and the dark spells to upgrade). I usually do a version of GoHo, GoWiWi, or GoLaLoon but this version of the PentaAttack looks pretty nice. Lightning will go in on Sunday when the Valks finish.

Awesome attack style. I'll be using it for my second attack in a war that I'm currently in. Have one question though...have you ever tried this on a TH9 with an offset queen island away from any air defenses? I rarely see enemy bases like that but am curious if this attack style will still work on that base or not. Thanks!

Does taking 24 loons make a significant difference to taking 26?

The LVL 5 Air Sweepers will ruin ur attack, I found out the hard way, no idea why I decided to follow this.

Air is probably my best attack strategy and I know what bases not to use it on.

Aim for bases which are weaker against air attacks, it's too high risk against a maxed out base with everything set to air.

I'd like to see a video that ticks all of the above but with both air sweepers well placed in a centralised area, where no matter which direction you come from you will get affected by them.

Okay I understand now, leaving out the CC it's basically a: ZapQuake Quattro Lavaloon using Triangulation to kill the Queen

But Queen Pop Laloon does roll off the tongue much easier and smoothly ;).

So basically you Zap Quake 1 AD and make a triangular shape with the remaining 3 ADs to where the point is either near or will path over the Queen so the Lava Pups as Well as Splash Damage from the Loons will take her down while passing by to the final AD, right?

2 hounds are deployed on each AD with targeted Loons simultaneously so they both go down at the same time so that all your pups and loons will path over the Queen after they drop so she will get targeted and can't escape and shoot the loons like she does with Penta. Also you have 2 Rages and 1 Haste to help the loons get there quicker and take down the first portion way faster so the Hounds don't pop so fast that the AQ starts shooting down the Loons.

Also 2 Hounds on each AD at the beginning opposed to saving 1 for the back end, which is what is a common practice in traditional Laloon variations, but this prevents whatever AD you only put 1 Hound on from getting Double Seeking Air Mines which can bust it before it even reaches the AD leaving your loons vulnerable to both the AD without the hound as Well as the Queen when they cross over to the last AD.

What about bases that aren't Symetrical, as in when you deploy 2 Hounds on each AD what if 1 AD has significantly more defences than the other that can't be compensated by more loons, more pathing to get to the AD lets say.......

Also wondering if this attack will be ruined by Tesla Farms that target the Hounds either on 1 of the first ADs or on their way to the Queen?

Teslas high dps as Well as their fast attack speed will shread pups fast too!

4 Teslas targeting a Hound at the same time = an Extra 344 DPS.....Think about it as just short of another level 7 AD + a level 3 Xbow (or level 11 Archer Tower, whatever)with a much shorter range ofc haha.

Thank you for the long thought out reply. I can tell you I have not hit every single base build out in war, since I have only been running this attack since the December TH11 update. I do run this attack with two accounts in war though, and every time I see a base that has a odd build or a base that seems like an air attack will fail, I will make sure to hit that base. I have quite a few uploaded and about 5 more to put up tonight or tomorrow. The attack has blown away my expectations even on bases that I would think not to hit with air troops.

Of course I still figure out little pieces of the attack that work better and adjust each war. I will always make sure to include those tips in each new video. Like on bases with a close set queen on one end and a long length between air defenses. I would always start on the queen side, but lately I have noticed if I blast the far side air defense with hounds and loons quick, then let my hounds flow all the way to the other side and pop over the queen while my loons catch up, the attacks seems smoother with more troops left till the end. Before the hounds and loons would start near queen then I would rush them to the other side for the last air defense and they would get so far from the queen that she would live through the initial wave. Just small details on certain bases that are working better for me.

Obviously I will keep testing on odd builds to see how each part will work. This attack was an idea I had before the update but never had that 3rd spell to keep the troops flowing quickly. After the update the idea became possible and it has been amazing every war. Each base build is obviously weak to some attack and stronger to others, so I am sure there are limits to this attack, but right now it continues to cover a very wide range of th9 bases.

The biggest bonus of this attack is it lets new town halls upgrade loons and unlock hounds and they can contribute 3 star attacks in war with minimal down time. Let me know if you try it and what you think. Good Luck!

Sorry not sure how I didn't see a few of these replies, but I send 2 hounds at each air defense. I have tried 3 at the queen and 1 at the other when I was first figuring out how exactly it would work, but that does not work. Send two at each, and I always put my max hound on the one the queen will target first since that will be absorbing the most dps.

The more the loons the better. That is why I built this whole design. Overwhelm the base with dps and speed.

I am sorry you didn't have success with this attack, but no attack will work 100 percent on 100 percent of bases. I have gone against a wide verity of bases and against high level queens, with xbows up, with both skeles set to air, and is spread out and still had success. I also attack lvl 7 air defenses every single war with this with no problem. Crushing low bases is easy, but I normally shoot for strategy and fun. I will continue to attack odd bases, but failure in the attack can be due to many reasons.

Always make sure you have a plan, path loons safely, and you spread out dps to minimize loons taking splash damage. The attack is a lot of timing. Timing the loons to back up hounds, and hounds to protect loons at the right time without taking substantial hits before loons take down surrounding defenses. I can assure you the attack works.

I have some more videos and a few pointers I have learned.

This is a spread out base where I started on the queen side and blew right past her with my troops. I realized with a queen set in front of air defenses and a long distance to travel after, it is better to end on the queen. I tested this in a later war that I will post up and if you reverse the attack direction the attack runs much more smoothly.

I see you misread the title. It states for all th9's to 3 star max bases. This means a new th9 with minimal upgrades can 3 star a max base without spending time grinding on heroes. TH9's are meant to be 3 stared with skill. People still have trouble with it. If th9's are "extremely easy" to 3 star on every attack then why are there so many threads, video channels, and questions all about th9 strategy?

Here is the first video of the 5 that I am putting up right now. This is a pretty common base build and not a high level th9. I wanted to show this video since I decided to flip the attack from what I normally do. This time I ended all my hounds on the Queen instead of starting on her. I noticed in lower level defenses my hounds don't pop at the start so instead of flying past the queen I ended on her and it worked great. For max bases I tried the same trick but it didn't have the same results. The hounds take more dps so you still need to start on the queen to assure the Queen kill. My heroes were not needed at all on this attack.

Better? That could be a matter of opinion.

Already invented before the th11 update? That is not possible since you can't have the same spell compisition before the donated spell.

Like I stated in the post I have ran "penta" attacks many times and they seem to be lacking the overwhelming dps, since you have to sacrifice 6 loons for every hound.

Thank you for directing me to that post since I have not seen it before. Air attacks have been around for awhile so I am not inventing the wheel here, but rather I am trying to utilize all the tools from the last update while still providing an attack that can swamp the majority of bases seen in war. I would implore you to try this strategy and see how it works. Even with 4 hounds I find I usually don't pop all hounds on this attack and I would find it pointless to bring one more hound and sacrifice 6 loons. Give it a try and see what you think.

Seems like a solid idea. I don't know what he has in the cc so unless you know you will have to pull it. If there is nothing that attacks air in his cc you may be able to take that air defense that is exposed and zap a different air def. That will put two down. I see one blower pointing away from the area you want to go but the other one is marked up if it is pointing at the direction you want to come from just take notice of that and work around with what you can. It seems like a pretty straight forward base though and defiantly worth hitting it with Queen POP. Make sure to get your troops in their together and don't strand your hounds inside the base without loons close behind.

What lvl is you lightning?

I am not sure which attack you are asking about. If you want to know the lightning you need per each air defense then I can answer that. For a level 6 air defense you need lvl 5 lightning and an eq spell. For level 7 air defense you must use level 6 lightning with an eq. The eq can be any level.

As a point of interest.
I used a level 4 quake from a teamy, and two lvl5 lightning on lvl 7 air deff. It killed it no problems.

The rest of the attack did not go so well, as I scrapped the haste in case I needed a second quake for first air def.
And I only had lvl 2 lavas. And they all popped before reaching last air defense which wrecked all the loons.

Oh well, will keep trying.

I obviously don't know exactly what happened without seeing your attack, but the usual mistakes are people don't spread their loons out, or save any to back side some defenses. When that happens blowers can push around loons easy and push them together. The other thing I see alot is people get hounds deep inside a base with loons a far way off. I try to get them in at the same time by launching loons first then hounds or seeing which areas I can start safely first.

I just wanted to thank you for the guide and all your YT tutorials. You are doing a great job and I greatly appreciate all the effort you put into your channel. You have made me a better attacker.

Thank you. The whole reason I started this mess is to help out. I want to improve the game and show that fair playing is the best way. As long as this still benefits players I will keep it up.

I sometimes use a simple loonion attack w/rage and haste to clean th8s with a cheap army if needed. I think this strategy will be a good one for me as there are a lot of similarities, you are just smuggling the minions in via the hounds. ;)

This would be a great attack to keep our th9s in war when heroes are down.

You are correct on both. Most attacks don't require me to even use heroes. Also with the hounds you get free minions. They don't cost troop spots so that is like 84 free troops. We are in a war right now that I will film and probably nick name the "Queen POP" war. Almost every th9 has been 3 stared with this attack. I finally have my clan on board with it and it lets the low th9s attack high. We face numerous clans that stack their ccs with hounds and this attack blows right past the cc completely ignoring the troop inside.

In my experience and my opinion, NO. That leaves you with zero spells to cover the queen kill and the entire base. When you do that you will watch your troops slowly move but quickly die. That attack already exists and is called double zap quake and sometimes zap quake penta-laloon. It is not nearly as successful. You are more than welcome to try it out but you lose 3 spells for only one air defense. Also leaving a few air defenses as anchors is beneficial to have defenses focus fire on one area while your loons blast through the base. This is just my experience and personal thoughts.

Great strategy and thanks for the video. Though I admit I havent watched all of them. I've been using Air attacks and familiar with different of troops comp/spells but haven't use yours yet. Have you use this attack where the queen is L20+? If so, can please post a video. I sometimes encounter high level queen in war as I have BK25/AQ26 heroes.

Yes I have done them vs lvl 20+ queens. I know I have a lvl 22 queen on one I can post up for you where I wasted too much time in the beginning. I use this attack with my brand new TH9 for the most part so I am usually not clearing the enemies highest base although I have hit their top th9 a few times with success. I like to leave the top for my maxed th9 to run some high level GoHo videos and other attacks that people like to see. I have a quite a few with queens between 15-20, and a bunch more videos coming out the next few days. The next couple wars I'll use it on the highest heroes I can for you.

Just finished recording 8 new videos. I will slowly start putting them up. This attack keeps wrecking every war for us. How has it been for you?

Used this attack for my first hit in war today, the results were very satisfying, almost 3/4 of loons were alive, a hound still unpopped and the base completely demolished.

Great to hear and thank you for letting us know the results. This is by far the attack that I see working for the widest range of players vs the widest range of bases at th9.

How would you go about practicing this attack outside of war? What's the main things I should be looking for when I'm practicing in regular gameplay?tried about 4 last night mixed results. I'm a loon fan and have been using lava pups to kill queen for quit a while in my hunt for de. Looking for insight in help with a 30 second scout for training.

Tried this last night in war with my AQ down and known Hound in the CC. 75% 1 star. Though I screwed up the timing of the ZAP/Quake on the one AD and it got 2 shots off at my hounds. Had I got that right I might have gotten higher percentage but still would have been 1 star as too many defenses surrounded the ADs (teslas and x-bows) that shredded the pups as the hounds popped.

I'm going to practice a few of these outside of war before trying again in war.

It was a casual practice war as we did it with a rushed 10 and 2 of our top 3 9s w/o a queen. So it was kind of to play around with attacks.

But I do see good potential in the attack, especially if I had both royals.

You think it's more widely usable than GoHo?

Not saying i disagree, just interested in how you would rate their success rates

I've used this now 3 times in the past 3 wars, got an 51% 2, a 83% 2 (for the win baby), and just this past war, a 91% 1. All were on maxed def TH9's; we have 3 maxed def TH9's currently in my clan, so it's pretty common my hits are against other max def TH9's. I will say this, I feel like on my 1st attack, it was just bad strategy, I was the first to hit and assumed the 30 space was taken up by a hound, and instead it was a max drag and I was lucky to get anything at all, let alone the 2. The 2nd, I chose a poor angle, in retrospect, but still demolished most of the base. This past war I had a really nice attack, I just got unlucky in the back half of it with where my hounds chose to "stand" on the 3rd air def, and they triggered the sweepers so I couldn't get the whole base before my loons got gone.

Having said all that, I feel like if I were to take a couple weeks, sacrifice the dark and really buckle down and use this attack, it would become a monstrous part of my attack repertoire.

Great strategy... I just tried in a TH9 base with max defenses and lvl15 queen and 3 stars.

For the CC dragon, I used 5 archers and the queen behind. The max dragon died before using the queens' ability (lvl 16 queen).

However, I havent tried this strategy without queen and I have avoided bases with overlapping of AD range... has anyone tried any of these cases?

I don't practice this attack outside of war since I feel like war is the best place to keep me sharp. When I came up with the plan I did try it out before using it though and I just searched for bases that looked like they would be a war base. I would just act like it was a fresh attack and zap out one air defense. Then send some loons to test the cc. If troops pulled I would bring 5 archers to pull the cc outside the base then kill them with my heroes. Then go about the attack as normal. The attacker needs to be good at loon lays for this attack to work. The attack is very powerful but if you strand the hound over the air defense and the loons are far off you will loose your hounds quickly so you just need to get the timing down. I know it works because I use it every war on max bases, and my clan mates now use it too with a large success rate.

The pups killing the Queen works best if you time the loons to show up as the hounds pop so they can clear the way and keep defenses from targeting all the new pups. You will get the down the timing and be consistent it just requires a little practice and to us the plans I have laid out. Thanks for the comment and the feedback.

The reason I say this is that GoHo is great but not everyone has good heroes and understands how to path hogs. This attack requires little planning and even an amateur can pull off consistent 3 stars with low heroes. I have an account with lvl 30 Queen and 27 king that I pretty much just use GoHo. I post those videos as well in other threads and it has always been my go-to attack since all the sweeper additions. I wanted to figure out another air attack that could be used by all levels of players and this attack fits that mold. I will use both these attacks each war since I built a th9 that can only use this attack. He usually gets 6 stars every war as a new th9 only with Queen POP. Its hard to say what would cover more bases but most the time I see people defending ground attacks now with hounds in the cc and this attack is perfect for that. As the games is playing right now I would say this attack covers most the th9s I see in clan war, but GoHo is still my top favorite to use with my high level account.

I appreciate the feedback. I hope you find that will a few adjustments and little practice you can become proficient and deadly with this attack. If you watch all the videos I have on it you will see small tweaks on how I attack each base but the results has been consistent 3 stars for me and I hope it will be for you as well.

Thank you guys once again for making this attack such a hit. I am truly glad I have helped so many players succeed. I do have a few new uploads for you and a bunch I am finishing now.

This first one is a simple base but a request I had. The v moat base is the most popular goho attack and the most popular video on my entire channel. I have not seen one in a few wars, but finally a team had one fro me attack so i hit it with Queen POP. I know it is a low level base, but I wrecked this build with ease.

Hey guys just finished making about 6 more videos that I will be uploading. The last one I made was against a max base with a lvl 28 queen. Smoked it. It had xbows up. I hope the video will show how diverse and deadly this plan is. How has everything been going for you guys with it?

I had success with this attack the first few times I tried it but now I feel like a dunce with it. I have watched the videos, (more than once) and I can't seem to get the timing down. I end up with nothing at the end of the raid, I have no confidence in knowing when to drop the rage spells... Ugh. I watch your videos and they are perfect. When I go to practice in multiplayer... Fail again and again. I love the potential but dang what is the secret to the timing? Guess I need to watch more vids - you have posted many so I feel like there is no excuse, but man when I use the same troops you are using and fail so hard, it is frustrating. (Nobody in my clan has max hounds to donate... But it should still work most of the time right??)

PS - My last war raid against a max th9 with lvl5 blowers pointing opposite directions across the base and xbows 3 pointed up -- was a mega fail no star. That was embarassing. The week before, I three starred 2 non-max town hall 9s with this strat. I wish you could look at my raids and tell me what I am doing wrong with my recent raids!

I am in the exact same boat as previous poster. I suck with the timing or the pathing of the loons or both. I love watching the videos, but I am struggling to make it work for me.

When it does work it is awesome. I had one attack that I got focused on making sure the CC troops were cleaned up that I forgot to zap/quake on of the ADs and I still 3 starred it (mid TH9). But I seem to fail more than I succeed.

Great thread and looking forward to trying this attack out as I do like lavaloon as a strat. Up against a max th9 v moat.

I signed up just to comment on this attack. I am an almost a max townhall 9 and I am destroying bases with this attack in war and if I am farming and practicing. There are times when a cc is hard to lure with a dragon inside, or just bad timing on my part. But i have never 3 starred so many townhall 9 bases before until this attack. Now i am a huge fan of Gowiwi, and that was my bread and butter for a long time and I did great with that attack. But with strong townhall 9's gowiwi had to be executed perfectly and had to be the right type of base for the 3 star to happen. With this air attack, I feel there can be some errors or "bad luck" and you have a great chance still of getting the 3 star.

I got my clan mate who had upgraded to a Townhall 9 and had a hard time finding his new attack or style and kept struggling to get 3 or even 2 stars sometimes. With 2 good weeks of practice and a couple wars under his belt with this attack, he is able to 3 star bases he wasn't even coming close to before. This attack is legit, and I am using this strictly until i become a townhall 10. Thanks for creating or helping people find this attack. In the last 4 wars i have probably failed to get 3 stars just once out of the 8 attacks.

I apologize for my absence, I had an eye surgery done last week and have not been able to see for the last few days. But I got to say, I found this thread a few weeks back, and really liked the style of the attacks, and I've darn near mastered it. I used to think max defense th9 were only 2 star bases, but now I 3 star a good 90% of attacks I do with this strategy. I have 4 accounts I war on, my wife, my 2 sons and mine, and we are all th9. We love wars now, We are almost always to gain more stars in th9 matchups than the others. Even with high AQ to go against I can still do very well. I love this attack style! Thanks so much!

Thank you for all the replies and the best wishes. I am starting to see a little more. I tried reading a few replies but my vision goes blurry pretty quickly. Rest assured I will read them when my eyes heal up and reply. I have been getting great reviews from this attack and I can see it quickly becoming more popular. I will be back later with some more replays. I am working on uploading the attack vs the max Queen now. If there is anything else I can help with let me know. That is great to hear. I have a video uploading today that proves what you say about this attack covering mistakes. I accidently pressed attack in war on pretty much a max base. I forgot what attack I was doing and started just to panic lay troops, and realized I didn't pull the cc or zap an air defense. Long story short it was a 3 star.
