I was a premature TH9, gold/pink/purple walls. January 1st, just before hero update came out.
So in January I already had both heroes.
February I had 5 workers, and started working on my walls.
I now have level 9 walls, level 10 core (32 walls), but my heroes are still level 18 (King) and 10 (Queen).
The heroes both take a worker each, and 157 days to get from level 1 to 30.
Not to mention, near the end you need about 150k + 140k DE per week just to afford the upgrades.
Try saving up for that when people keep hitting you with lightning spells!:rolleyes:
Clearly heroes are the hardest to do.
I'd say both are really difficult but maxing every single wall is much harder.
Just some numbers
Max Barbarian King Total DE cost: 3.75m DE
Max Archer Queen Total DE cost : 4.17m DE
Total: ~8m DE
Max Barbarian King/Archer Queen Total Training Time: 227.5d each
Total amount of walls: 250
Cost per maxed wall: 8.8m
Total Cost: 2.2b
Both are pretty intense, but I think I'd like the challenge of doing harder bases for DE than trying to find easy farm bases and trying to get gold as fast as possible. When I get to the point where I can hero farm, I'll probably try to get both to 15 or 20 then focus on one at a time to max then come back and do the other one. Thatll keep me going for just about ever xD

But I'd lean to saying Heroes - just. as not only do you need to constantly store a lot of dark elixir - making you a prime raid target. You have to wait 7 days for every upgrade. 227 days cumulative for just the barb king according to clash wiki. That's a lot of time with no king for attack...
While walls end up costing an insane amount of gold, there is no time cost on building. Just have a builder free at the time.
Heroes are deffinately the hardest thing is max.
Maxing heros is quite possible in less than 1 year but maxing walls is not possible before 2-3 years. You can collect around 700-800 m gold a year which is still very hard to do..
WALLS! As with DE you do not need that resource to upgrade defences only dark troops. As upgrading all your defences require gold to upgrade, less gold is avaliable to upgrade walls which makes it a lot slower.
UHhhhh......I'm over 600m in 7 months. You can make 10-12m gold per day if you farm well and play alot making it take 200-220 days to max walls.Quote:
