Yes, it is worse than swearing. It is an invasion of my right to lurk. There already is an online indicator: open clan chat, click on the bubble, press "h" then press "i." Problem solved

What does swearing on global chat have to do with this? Maknight15 clearly outlined why this is a terrible idea. Not a single person has ever said why it is a good idea, only that it is. Why is that? Because the only reason to implement this is to badger people as Maknight15 indicated.

People don't have privacy on Facebook or such. Most people don't care. Everyone will be helped with this. So they don't have to wait minutes or hours just to get troops! I think this should happen and add in a private chat!!!! And you can also change the online in setting to busy or offline!!!! It's a perfect idea!!! Some of you don't realize what a good idea this is!!!!!!!!
What is with this terrible "It's on Facebook so it's ok" argument? Facebook is a social networking site specifically created for meeting and interacting with other people. CoC is a mobile device game that you happen to play with other people. A lot of people who play CoC don't even have a Facebook account, and don't want the games they enjoy adopting all the features of FB.
As an experienced clasher, I think it would be better not to have this feature. I mean, sometimes as clan leader, I want to watch convos go on, to check the loyalty of members. Also, I wouldn't want to be constantly bothered for troops, especially when I have none trained. But if they did implement this, I suggest a compromise. What if you could have settings like Skype? You could have On, AFK, Do Not Disturb, Invisible, and Off. Off would be automatic, and the others could be set whenever you felt like it.
The problem with that is people would just kick anyone with invisible status.
The main issue with this idea is that there is no positive reason to implement it. All it would be used for is to bother people who clearly do not wish to be bothered at that time.
They should make it like league of legends. You can add people and then go into your friends list and it would show a green dot next to their name if they are on or a red dot if they aren't. Also the ability to block people. This would be very helpful because sometimes I want to know if my friends are on.
